@BizTech: Thank you for your reply, which was how I hoped you would respond.
I enjoyed the video at least. Anecdote: I remember NME reviewing one of Ry Cooder's concerts many years back. The only criticism they could find to make was of the Bermuda shorts he wore, so I wouldn't worry about the hat.

Sounds like someone who is proactive.
I enquired. Yes I can, but the process is not that straightforward and there's less control over when the transactions occur. Plus the charge is not negligible. So I'd rather be in control of when I do it. (I'm with IG).
Sorry all, but at some point soon I'm going to sell the KOD holding I have in my share account and buy back into my ISA to avoid a future CGT prob. (Most of my holding is in my ISA already).
So, if you see a Red sore thumb amongst the Blue, that's why. ((Sorry)).
Things should automatically happen, but compare that with the dealing costs of selling now against waiting for that slight extra in the future. In my case I felt the proceeds could be put to better use right now, elsewhere, so I sold.
To answer my own question: xd date was 25 Aug.
In addition to the Acquisition Price, Biffa Shareholders who appeared on the register of members of Biffa on the 2022 Final Dividend Record Date shall have the right to receive and retain, without any consequential reduction in the consideration, a final dividend of 4.69 pence per Biffa Share for the 52 week period ended 25 March 2022 (the "2022 Final Dividend") as approved at Biffa's Annual General Meeting on 23 September 2022. The 2022 Final Dividend is due to be paid to such Biffa Shareholders by Biffa on 10 October 2022.
My understanding is that 10 Oct is payment date. xdiv date is in the past, so safe to sell and still get the div. Is this correct?
I scan the RNS's diligently on Sharescope between 7am and 8am every morning and these did not appear on my feed. I complained about this to them and they replied today to say they were "not aware of this issue" and to report further instances of this drop off to them so they could escalate it. Anyone else found this? If so, it needs action. I've suggested to them that their system should have a timestamp of when they themselves first see an RNS, and it goes without saying that they should sort that list according to that timestamp so newest entries appear at the top.
I queried this with Sharepad and the reason is that it is a sub-share of BOXE (where divs are shown). Just thought I would post this in case anyone else was wondering.

Overall it is good to see so much progress being made at West Newton, a project I believe to be significantly bigger than many in the market place are still yet to recognise. The testing in May will be the next material landmark and although neither shares have taken on board the potential upside I’m sure it will happen once testing etc
An operations update and details of the forward well testing programme in respect of the West Newton B-12 conventional appraisal well is announced by the two quoted partners today. UJO have 16.665% and RBD 56% of the project.
So far, the Cased Hole Logging Programme and Vertical Seismic Profiling operations on the WNB-1Z well have been completed and the CHLP results confirmed the presence of a good cement bond of the production liner and well bore integrity.
The Data from the VSP is currently in Romania being processed. Initial indications are that the data is of good quality, the VSP data will be used to refine the 3D seismic interpretation, primarily to be used in volumetric calculations towards reserve/resource figures for the West Newton field and for the identification of future well locations.
The next phase of operations will be conducted utilising a service rig and will be comprised of perforation and stimulation of the Kirkham Abbey formation and subsequent flow testing of the well , this phase of well testing operations is expected to commence in May 2021. Operations will take approximately four weeks to complete and following completion of operations on WNB-1Z, the testing of the WNA-2 well will commence.
Perhaps more interestingly, various thin section images taken from core plugs obtained from the West Newton B-1Z well show porosity throughout the core with the better samples exhibiting porosities of between 12% and 15%.
Executive Chairman of Union Jack Oil commented:
“We are delighted to report that mobilisation in respect of well testing, initially on the West Newton B-1Z well, is expected to commence in May 2021.
“Initial results from the recently completed Cased Hole Logging Programme and Vertical Seismic Profiling, coupled with historical well log results and measurements taken whilst drilling, have all been highly encouraging to date and the Joint Venture participants hold high expectations for a successful flow test.
“We await with great interest the testing results over the coming months from both WNB-1Z and WNA-2 and look forward to updating shareholders as further progress is made.”
Stephen Williams, Co-CEO of Reabold, commented:
“With well testing operations ongoing, the first flow test expected in May, and the subsequent testing of the WNA-2 well to commence thereafter, we look forward to a busy period of activity at West Newton. Results so far have been progressing in line with our expectations, despite the impact COVID-19 has had on supply chains.
“We look forward to the next phase of operations beginning shortly and to updating shareholders as further progress is made.”

I did successfully apply for one bid some months ago, but that was using a browser on a pc, was cut down on my allocation. Another failed as I didn't have an existing holding at the time - took them a few days to refund. I do have a holding in KIST though. Trouble is if successful I will have holdings in two accounts, as they can't accept bids into ISA accounts.
Since then looks like they're insisting on using App on a phone.
