My understanding is that the next generation of AEM is still on trial and is due to end in March 2024 ... seems a bit premature to write it off just yet .... https://gow.epsrc.ukri.org/NGBOViewGrant.aspx?GrantRef=EP/T009233/1
This was released on the GOV.UK website on 13th Sept..... just need the AFC follow up .... https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/red-diesel-replacement-competition-successful-projects/red-diesel-replacement-competition-phase-2-successful-projects#red-garnet-red-diesel-generator-alternative

Worth a look at the Brett website .....seem to be very active in the SE region of the UK ....which just happens to be the same region that Energy Solutions are based .... all close to AFC HQ .....all very convenient and with the Gov.UK update just feels the right time for AB to make some BIG announcement... https://www.brett.co.uk/

This was the RNS from 26th July ..... https://www.lse.co.uk/rns/AFC/afc-energy-secures-16343m-uk-government-grant-70zu9qmnosjlxkp.html Would this have been mentioned at the Mello Monday event ?
My interpretation of the Speedy RNS was that the existing Power Towers will be the first systems to be cross-hired ....which means they are ready to go ? ..... "The collaboration will take the form initially of AFC Energy providing Speedy with its existing H-Power Tower Generators on a cross-hire basis on commercial terms." ...There are systems back at HQ that must be off the trial period and ready to roll ?.... from that i would think sooner rather than later to Speedy.
Seems to be going to plan .....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PFKOl7ApZ5s&t=190s
