The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Thank you for the confirmation, Pokerchips.
Rather than being interested in buying them, I was more curious whether current options holders still had the opportunity to sell their options, or if the option to them now is to exercise and then trade their received shares.
"The "hope" is the Option holders will make a quick decision to buy the Option and the RNS came at exactly the right time (planned to perfection, no doubt ) ..giving them little time to make their decision..."
Am I understanding the RNS correctly that the options are no longer available for trading, but those who currently own them may still exercise them before end of August? Can the options be traded on other exchanges?
" The Company previously advised on 3 August 2021 that the MXCOE listed options would cease trading on the ASX on Wednesday 25 August 2021. This has occurred and MXCOE are no longer tradeable on the ASX but can be exercised by the holder by completing the MXCOE exercise form"
Do you have a link to the pdf, Ehsan? Or title of the doc?
Must say, @Archie, I do feel that giving the shares is a better consideration than giving out MGC cash at this point.
CEO of the acquired company, Dr Nadya Lisovoder, is listed in the MGC Pharma prospectus as a clinical advisor. Is this likely to be a good thing, showing an existing working relationship between the parties and smooth moving forward? Feels a little off that more MGC money/equity is moving to insiders' other companies.
Don't want to deflate anyone, but wouldn't be holding my breath for any big news in an RNS.
All scheduled polls were agreed by large majorities.
Some of the Q&A session was interesting, but I don't expect them to include it in an RNS. Main points I noted:
* EU GMP license does allow production of pharmaceuticals at their Slovenia site
* Slovenia site is intended for production, not just white labelling and packaging
(these 2 points have been discussed in previous posts here)
* All IP of pharmaceuticals products are owned wholly by MGC
There were additional questions with answers, but I noted the above as my big take-aways.
Plenty of general positive speaking about future, comparisons to GW Pharma and sharing the board's vision of being multi billion company in a few years - but take with a grain of salt.
All in all, pretty positive feel to the meeting but no groundbreaking updates.
Possible contribution to the downturn?

@smartic, I'd be careful giving out your details like that, unless you want to be donating to the British Diabetic Association as well

Recruiting participants for theese things will ways be subject to many different factors. I do feel that there might be a chance of getting participants for these phase 3 trials faster than for the cognicann trials.
Firstly, the inclusion criteria for the phase 3 seem to be much wider :
Cognicann study:
https://www.anzctr.org.au/Trial/Registration/TrialReview.aspx?id=375128
"Inclusion criteria:
• Live within a residential aged care facility,
• Aged 65 year or older,
• Have a diagnosis of dementia,
• Able to speak English,
• Known compliance to taking medication, and
• Not bed ridden."
CimetrA study:
https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT04802382
"Inclusion Criteria:
* Confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection (according to nationally authorized laboratory criteria)
Hospitalized patient with COVID-19 of moderate stable or worsening severity not requiring ICU admission.
* Age: 18 years old and above.
* Subjects must be under observation or admitted to a controlled facility or hospital (home quarantine is not sufficient).
* Ability to receive treatment by spray into the oral cavity"
It is pure speculation on my part but I imagine access to patients 18+ with covid in two major health centers in Israel might come slightly quicker than to 65+ patients in residential care homes in Aus, with a dementia diagnosis, who are willing to participate in the trial.
Also, on the Cognicann study's page, there is the big red notice at the top of the page "COVID-19 studies are our top priority. For all other trials, there is a 4-week delay in processing a trial submitted/resubmitted to the ANZCTR and additional delays for updates of registered trials. We appreciate your patience." which gives a further indication the Covid related phase 3 study may be processed and completed faster than the dementia focused study.
As always - very new here, just my 2 pennies.
Bushmaster "Does this mean there is a seperate certificate to cover Malta off ?- And if so, where is his certificate." - - > I don't think Malta is expected until 2024,would you expect it to already have a cert? (not trying to stir the pot - am honestly just curious... No idea on the time lines of these things)
Bushmaster, agreed, nothing in the cert to imply Slovenia is producing/growing the cannabis (though am not sure I thought it was supposed to be?) but - especially when coupled with your Definition of Investigational Medicinal Products link - it does sound like it's geared up to process medicinal/pharma products undergoing clinical trials (whether the products are cannabis related or not). My understanding of the Slovenia site was to allow increased output of ArtemiC - but I might be wrong?
Ultimately, the cert seems to suggest the Slovenia site is fit to process, certify, and package "Liquids for internal use". Which is almost what I was expecting
"1 MANUFACTURING OPERATIONS
1.2 Non-sterile products
1.2.1 Non-sterile products (processing operations for the following dosage forms)
1.2.1.6 Liquids for internal use
1.2.2 Batch certification"
I mean, am definitely no expert and could not say if a thc/cbd product is necessarily sterile, but it sounds as though the site is at least processing some ingestible liquid, no?

Not an expert by any means, but it sounds like they're at least processing some ingestible liquid at the site, no?
BigBobBet, you're not wrong! Guess they've got the cert to show, they're close to a pharma facility than I am :p.
Plus, who knows last time the google photographers were there?
No probs! Just happy to be involved (my word, lockdown is dragging!). Must admit, Google mapping the site address on the cert (Kamniška ulica 29, Ljubljana, 1000, Slovenia) doesn't strike me as a pharma manufacturing plant
Bushmaster, really new to this game, but enjoying the excitement from past couple of days.
Is this relevant to the cert you were asking for info on?

I've also had Sativa Wellness (AQSE:Swel) on my radar for a fe weeks. Just received FDA approval for a range of products, apparently. (https://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/news/942556/sativa-wellness-says-cbd-therapeutics-division-achieves-highest-food-safety-standards-942556.html)
Am also considering ETFs CBDP and FLWG as a way of getting my exposure to the cannabis market. It's obvious I've still got a lot to learn about researching companies and making picks.
I found this article gave a good list of various players in the market at the mo, for anyone who hasn't seen it

Keen to top up again closer to 4.5 so I'm not complaining too hard. I'm a strong believer that it'll climb nicely in coming months, would be nice to get my avg down while I can (very modest 22k shares at 6.1)
No allocation, but HL showed 44p for a dummy buy before the live prices stopped showing.
I'm only a very a modest investor. This has been my first experience dipping my toe in the market outside of a couple mutual funds, thrilling so far! Was in at 4.2 and doubled my stake at 8.4 (total of only 12k shares, peanuts compared to some of you!). If it gets close to 4 again today, I can quite happily double again and then put it to the back of my mind for the next year+ enjoying the lower average.
Thanks for all the fun, folks, have had more excitement past 2weeks than the last 12months!
