The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
I also am in the red with SEY and tempted to buy into this at 75.00 but just bought SER this morning so fingers crossed and we will see how the stock performs in the next hour - may dive in then - good luck :-)
mate - interested to know your thoughts on how low you think this will fall.......
roadster - agree with ihavenoclue - how many other companies do business with customers that won't/don't/can't pay their invoices?
OMHO - this is a 100p share and will be back above that very soon.......
Agree Again!!
Agree!
Only regret is HSBC were only able to find half my order at price of 0.50p :-)
For the last hour?!
My casual sense of humour hides a pretty good intellect that always investigates any investment I look at buying into - but appreciate your concern mate :-)
After my support for your credibility - I guess I'll be buying these now :-)
Kurawood are a manufacturer and distributor of hardened softwoods sold through B&Q and Homebase - specialising in producing organically hardened softwood - they make and distribute Vecowood, a product which enables softwoods such as pine to be treated and hardened to the same consistency as hardwood - Shares magazine reported on Kurawood’s entry to AIM saying that with supplies of hardwood dwindling and no sign of demand abating, wood treatment is becoming a hot new area and Kurawood is the latest company looking to capitalise on that market - I guess they are trying to keep up with demand?!
Promising news out from New Zealand - "Softwood manufacturer Kurawood said an expansion in its production facilities in New Zealand will lift output capacity to 300,000 tonnes a year from 30,000 tonnes. The expansion, which will be completed by June, will enable it to meet the needs of customers who require certainty of supply, Kurawood said. " So naturally I'm biased being a Kiwi plus director bought 25,000 shares @105p in December......
Hope you are not joking JB - am in for 500,000 shares above the current sp!!
I'm looking at this stock too and also puzzled by the lack of growth and big number of sell transactions after the Loganholme contract - still believe it's woth a punt - bit of useless news: Loganholme is part of South east Queensland which is the second fastest growing area per pop in the western world.
As a proud Kiwi - it grates me to say that Australia is probably one of the best places in the world for young ambitious active adventurous people to enjoy a high standard of living - and you are right that as a plumber, he will earn bl**dy good money - In Queensland, there is actually a labour shortage from truck driving in the mining industry to tradesmen in the building industry. Property values in theis state are still going north and rental returns are very very attractive for investors.
Hmmmmmm - I am concerned about the steady decline of the pound - I arrived in London 5 yrs ago and the Aussie dollar was 2.7 against the pound - now it's 2.17!! With interests rising in Australia and the pound punching below it's weight, my mortgages back there are starting to bite (hence why I'm trying to make some extra cash through this arena)
everybody is a somebody to me mate and I learnt through past experiences to always listen to other's views/opinions before making an informed decision - without getting too political, I do fear for this once great nation in the coming years as we appear to be governed by an elected dictatorship that are deaf to the voices and wishes of the majority (so much for democracy) - but this is not the forum for politics :-)
Think you may be right mark-expat but believe it will not happen until post Olympics (or is just me wishful thinking as that is the time I transfer my ££ to $$ and go back home to my acreage and live a leisurely life).......and the week in France sounds pretty tempting!
Panmure Gordon rates this stock as a buy but has downgraded the target price from 486.00p to 339.00p - still agree with keepitsimple that it is worth a punt.......
Doubt if we will get in under the offer tomorrow morning!
