some excellent comments made above...IMO, GM looks knackered.....for me hands down the near to patient testing in 10 mins will solve all our problems for large venue testing...there's a lot of coughing and spluttering going on and no one knows what they have.....and the icing on the cake is the talk about investment going into the USA and South America.....the yanks are keen to uptake European/ UK products very readily....seen it many a time in pharma....one sniff of success and NCYT will be bought in a flash !
"The reason why you don't see GPs face to face and doctors offering reduced hospital clinics face to face is that there have been a lot of doctors who have died or have serious long covid problems"...
I see many Drs (primary and secondary care) and none would say this was the cause.....everything is down to staff shortage and not being able to provide a service......many people are now choosing to go private, because of long waiting times and extremely delayed appointments.....maybe this is part of govt plan?!
Microgens Pathflow Pro antigen test is available for airport/ travel testing:

......unfortunatley no UK 'LFT home test' made by anyone will ever be able to compete on price with the cheap far east generic tests available....plus IMO 'home testing' or taking a picture of your result for travel is quite frankly rediculous and unethical.
I'd like to put a big thank you to all the members who have helped with guidance and support with voting. It's important to move forward from the AGM/ EGM with resolutions that will lead to an up trend in global growth, R&D and overall sentiment for NCYT. This with added energy, experience and enthusiasm from DA can only improve the SP here on out....I know the volatilty suits some traders, but it's about time the LTHs are rewarded....GLA
the sentiment is killed...by whom is the question?....many are responsible and certainly (DHSC and some NCYT comms) including YOU too...so thanks on your contribution.
It crazy to think LTHs will make any decision on selling at the beginning and already selling in the to biggest seasons to come for testing need, supported by one of the best assay testing arrays out there...I won't be selling a bean until the Winter's over. Plus DA needs to be given a chance too and he's sales and comms all the way!
the switch from travel 2 day PCR to LFT will make very little difference, in fact more positives will be generated will need virological PCR confirmation...otherwise we have no vaccine programme...so hence PCR will increase too.
Seems funny how the govt are appeasing the travel industry during the low season on the premise the other countries will happily take UK travellers with currently the highest rates in Europe.....you think they know what they're doing....look how the shambolic petrol/ haulage driver/ stock shortage madness was/ is being handled.....the fate of people this autumn and winter is certainly not in the hands of the govt...the fate lies completely on chance only unfortunatley :-(
in my travels I see the real problem is shortfalls in primary care from many GPs going part time (e.g. job sharing) taking 1/3 of GPs away from seeing patients face to face and hence driving the pressure onto secondary care.
Secondary care has massive shortages in staffing with many now going over to private along now with many more patients moving over to private too...I feel it's part of the govt plan to push more onto private care.
ValJu,
as a company, NCYT is very profitable and growing on the back of innovation and product IPs...the trend for diagnostics companies, not just for COVID, are upwards for the foreseeable future....those are the reasons why a new CEO would join....
I'm sure once the iis see this they'll be onboard too...the low volumes suggest that 98% are sitting on their shares, allowing the 2% to muck about daily.
Q3 could not be a better time for the new CEO to start....for the next 5 months, he's going to have so much demand in a resource shortage environment.....the sentiment might be down along with algo and shorter nonsense, but the NCYT books are going to be very healthy indeed...now add his enthusiasm, marketing, USA contacts, sales experience and vavavoom....all is looking very rosey :-)
a lot of coughing and spluttering going on inside venues at present e.g. cinemas etc...they need to bring back mask wearing for indoors only.....otherwise all these places will close again at some point ;-s
I reckon the real amount of cases is x10 higher. Imagine how many people infected and not reporting, in fear of missing out on work etc.
Also, I do a fair bit of work with the Nuffield group and it's incredible to see so many (all cases) NHS patients moving over. Normally it's just a handful :-(
