With regards to pi's, some of those buying in to pmo for the first time may be replacing those from the 60s ( do not decade), thus replenishing and strengthening the ' buy and hold' contingent, and reducing volatility ( apart from this morning).

SP depends, clearly, upon both oil and investor psychology. Despite having no real significance, 140, 150 etc are often seen as important landmarks regardless of fundamentals. We set a figure for selling or slicing purely on being a round number. ( Not everyone, I know).
Such artificial markers delay the inevitable ( see 140 and 100 before that).
So end of week is probably less significant than November.
