High freight and transport costs , high cost of cotton and high energy costs due to war resulting in high inflation mainly caused by 'nut job' Putin are the major factors for the large decline in share price of Boohoo. The revenue generated was up 5% , problem was due to the high costs the margin was negligible leading to no profit.

I believe there is a change in the air. The price is moving up for following reasons.

i) freight / tyransport costs now going back to pre-covid
ii) price of cotton falling to pre-covid
iii) US cps data pointing to inflation peaking
iv) Rishi / Hunt - about to raid the middle class to fill the gaping hold but by stealth by not increasing any tax allowances. People won't notice as they never had it in the first place
v) Looks like the RussianPutin's army has been rightly smacked around and now looking for a way out. I think EU and the rest of the world are now looking for an end. It looks like some sort of a compromise might be agreed - this will reduce the hardship on poor countries but will also reduce energy costs here giving consumers more money to spend.
vi) Boo have a lot of influencers signed up like the Khardasiansv - I had not even heard of them but they have a big following and they will insure growth for BOO.
vii) The shorts have seen the change of wind and I think the after day trades are shorts reducing. will be interesting to see the data on Monday :-)
viii) I believe 10% of the shares are being shorted. I believe nearly 50% are owned by the Kamanis / IIs. This share is a prime candidate for a short squeeze. They must realise if the reddit group of investors take a look at this, they could make life very difficult for the shorters. Don't forget these short are seeing a double whammy of price going up and having to pay daily interest on the shares they have bought - at some point panic will set in.
viiii) JP Morgan own 5% - not known for charity but more they know which way this is headed long term

I can understand people who have been here for a long are a bit wary but some of the comments seem to be trying to scare new investors away.

Yesterday, the share price was just coasting, people were saying this is due to lack of comms and carver speak. To me it looks like the company has listened and re-iterated they will be paying the divi. What's not to like?

Yes, they are doing this for themselves with their low tax special structure to collect the dividends. Who cares as long as we profit as well.

What this share needs is a short squeeze similar to what happened with GameStop. lol

Or the answer could be they are concentrating on 802 because of ‘strong oil shows’ as stated in the RNS.

I agree CC seems to hold back on information but in situations like this ‘follow the money’ is best policy imo. The family converted their loan of $6m into shares to increase their holding to 48%. Why do that when you already have close to 46%. I wouldn’t be surprised if other concert parties are buying aa well on the quiet.

Whilst the sanctions and war are ongoing it’s right they concentrate on increasing production.

I think they will play down and success in the deeps until after sanctions are lifted.

I agree with botboy, come Monday this is going up. Anyone who has sold on Friday are not getting back in at last week prices anytime soon. The only way they are going to get back in is if Casp don't pay out on the dividend.

Those who bought at 3.5-3.8p will want to collect the dividend between 13.5% -16% before they would want to sell or see a rise in the price.

Looking at the Friday after lunch trades , there were some chunky sells at 2.53p which I make out to be about 6.5m shares sold and yet the price didn't drop proving there is a buyer there. I did some dummy sells on Friday and although could only get a price for 500k max I was getting quoted 2.56-2.6p to sell.

Hi Uncertain, I did think about looking at the P/E ratio and this maybe my lack of knowledge as this is the first oil company I've invested in but from what I have read the P/E ratio for oil industry can't be relied on - reasons given here https://www.investopedia.com/ask/answers/012015/what-average-pricetoearnings-ratio-oil-gas-drilling-sector.asp.

CASP have said they will be paying £1m as a minimum dividend per month, that means if you have invested at 6p or less then you are getting 9% return as a minimum. If you bought at less than 6p then your return will be much higher. Even at 4p you will get 13% return per annum.

It's a no brainer to me.

Don't forget the majority of shares are held by the concert party so they will be getting a tidy dividend sum each month. It's in their interest to increase production so all good to me. If as Some has mentioned they can get production to 10000 bopd then the dividend will be 4x and that is with low ball price at the moment.

The above production from shallows alone screams a buy on this share. The extra you get with this share is the deeps. If they manage to successfully extract oil from the deeps, then the big boys will move in and this will not be sold for pennies.

I've looked at what the share price we can achieve with CASP based purely on the dividend on offer. Assuming anyone invested will want a minimum of 6% return the table below shows the higher price we can achieve is 8p.

To achieve a higher share price we will need to increase the BoPD. For instance if its increased from current 2400 to 3000 - an increase of 25% - this will mean 6% return can be achieved if share is bought at 11p.

To see a price of 14p we would need Bopd at 4000. To see a price of 18p it would need to be 5000. To see a price of 22p it would need to be 6000 bopd.

Obviously, this is just my take on it and as usual dyor. Hopefully, some IIs are looking at CASP this weekend and we see some more gains on Monday. ATB to all those invested.

MMs are stocking up at these low prices. I can see 10k+ buy trades in the morning yet With HL I could not get a price for even 100 shares but yet they were willing to take my shares at over the bid price without any problem.

Late Friday afternoon I could buy but this time was limited to 20k shares yet still would take all my shares off me above bid price.

The fact they are willing to take all my shares gives me confidence this is going up just surprised with how it’s being traded. Hopefully coming week we will break 30p.

Any other company and this will be at 8p-10p now but there is wariness with Carver Speak (yes I have been reading previous chats lol).

If Casp keep to their promise and pay out the dividend each month for next 3-4 months I think we will see more interest here. On the news alone I still see this getting to 5p easily.
