@jongle: Best not look at a year via stepping back further of course
I know you are smarter than that. Let's take Ronaldo for instance, one year ago he was a bright light in an otherwise dismal United side. We got thumped by our local rivals and everyone was saying the team is crap and Ronaldo is the bees knees.
This season the team has functioned better without Ronaldo. It's all about making sure you look with the right lens.
Looking at a time further than a month on this share is meaningless as we had war and worries of inflation and let's not forget Truss. Don't get me wrong inflation is still there but we now have a plan and that is the big difference.
Don't get me wrong tomorrow things could change completely but I just feel there is more optimism now than before. Plus I don't short shares. not because of any moral scruples but just that my timing is awful. I have no issues with people shorting, we all do what we have to make money.
Look at the savings rates, a few weeks ago they were offering interest rates of 5% and these have dropped. Banks could not be offering mortgage rates less than 5%. who would have thought that a month ago.
