AGMs are not used for announcements but for rubber stamping voting on key items previously disclosed and sought from shareholders.. can't understand why ppl are desperately holding on to hopes of some good news from AGM.. however i am happy to see some decent volumes today after so many weeks of poor volumes (excl. block deals), need to have a string of few days of good volumes to pull this out of rut

JG: i did feel it that way when i first read it, thought it was just me! the way that sentence is written tells me there is something material to be told but they can't say it yet.. though it could very well be wishful thinking on our part

increase in shorts is 0.11% which translates to about 6.7m shares.. aren't the two bulk trades from yesterday add up to 6.7m? i can't see yesterday's full trades but if anyone has access please confirm

@josey: i hope you don't end up losing on both sides.. thg looks massively overbought on bid news

@joseywales: no material news is gonna come out of AGM; it is just a formal exercise to re-appoint the leadership team and get voting approvals on agenda items previously disclosed so a pretty dull event in terms of materially moving the SP

@LG, IR not replying to your email has nothing to do with the rumours, they will get back to you with something generic even if there are actual discussions happening so we would be none the wiser.. on some responses they need to get clearance from their legal team which can take time and knowing NEX are a bit laidback company, this delay is just normal.. i wouldn't read too much into it

I might be wrong but don't think i have seen UT categorised as a sell ever.. so a bit chunk sold in UT?

LG, what's the source of the article? these days, many a times, stock recommendations are not worth the paper they are written on.. not saying i disagree with what's being said but no new ground here and it might well have been written by one of the motley guys!

Quick, i do agree with the sentiment but chaps who look at charts would tell you this is not how it works.. i am no expert but there is clearly resistance at 124 level and it has gone there multiple times today and got pushed back.. it would be a very positive sign if we clear this level at close today and should give us a smooth easy ride to 140s

honestly all we need is a some good rns or news regarding a contract win or something, that will definitely help give momentum to this uptrend

now now, hold on there Quickdip, we don't want to jinx is too soon.. it's up again (albeit on pretty abysmal volumes) but a reversal would be confirmed only if this closes above 124.2.. let's hope the offbook trades which pushed this down a lot take it back to the 180s soon

Thanks Prime.. @GI: yes, that's what I thought too, some II moving the shares from one account to another so irrelevant i guess if they were sells or buys.. but pathetic volume excluding those two trades.. not complaining as long as we keep going up.. where is @LongerGuy today!

@Peaky: how do you know they were sells? it was showing up as unknown for those two c3m entries.. not challenging just trying to find out if there's another source to determine that

They are clearly not doing it very well otherwise we wouldn't be here with the SP.. if they were doing 'very well' why do you think even when they came out with decent results and TU, the share price refuses to budge.. NEX is a well oiled machine and it will continue to turn profit under normal circumstances but that doesn't mean this relatively new management team should take credit for it.. so far, they have appeared lacklustre in their approach, have not disclosed key contract wins or otherwise. What happened to saudi arabia contract? Moventia who also won a big chunk press released mid-Feb, nothing from NEX mgmt.. Nor have they gauged market's impatience about high debt and been proactive about it.

My point is having a high opinion of the company doesn't mean you got to defend it's mgmt. I am bullish on NEX and will continue to hold it for years to come but I am not pleased with the mgmt's disregard for shareholder value.. this coming from a guy who holds 0.04% of the company.. I am sure there are others too holding a relatively high position so just my opinion and others are entitled to their own..

@Paddyboy - mgmt is clearly not doing all the things right.. maybe from operational side yes but definitely not from shareholder value perspective.. it is their responsibility to get the company's share reflect their true value or as close to as possible but they are very laid back imo..

I think noggers might have been looking at the paper loss due to goodwill but you are right Quickdip.. and seriously noggers, where does this 55% revenue growth is coming from?

It does give me sleepless nights i must add because of the insane position in this stock but holding my nerves and trying not to worry about daily fluctuations

@Paddyboy: current SP is not justified but why would you assume it should be? Market throws up these distortions time and again when shares prices get divorced from reality and is not justified in both upside and downside. This is when smart ppl (like ourselves, i hope!) put their money and let it work over time. Whatever is holding it down (I have no clue even after an extensive research) will eventually come out and will rerate the stock or justify why it's in an abyss.. we can chat among ourselves and share the pain but our chatting is not going to move the needle here

Peaky: i dont think so.. however, let's say if there was a leak in the market that there has been a takeover bid then the company is obliged to dispel or confirm the rumour... so it is definitely a good time for a rumour to come through
