daz, the RNS of 05/09 stated that KOD aims to get a ESIA completed in Q1 2019 followed by the lodging of a mining licence application with the Malian government in Q2 2019. Now while I accept that the lodging of a mining licence does not necessarily mean that we will be in production by the end of 2019, I don't consider a friendly wager dedicated towards a worthwhile cause "dumb".

daz, that goes back to what I said in the previous comment: "While a success of one company may prove to the market the reliability of pursuing and producing lithium in Africa...". I'm not denying the possibility of a bit of a rise as a result of the success of one company. However I don't agree the return for KOD investors will be particularly spectacular if BGS manages to solve its issues and beat us to production. In fact I question the enthusiasm for BGS that you continually express here...

I too have been confused as to the particular relevance of BGS to KOD. While a success of one company may prove to the market the reliability of pursuing and producing lithium in Africa, I don't buy the "rising tide lifts all boats" argument in relation to this topic.

Where are you getting the "inside word" from exactly, what's the source?

NEDHAMMER it concerns me that you don't see downsides to this share; is investment in KOD a matter of faith for you? If there were no downsides, or possibilities of disappointment would be hundreds of times more valuable than it currently is.

I am quite heavily invested in this share (I own just over 10million shares), but my investment does not blind me to the quite possible risks; I just happen to believe that our financial situation + the results of the JORC + apparent Malian government 'positivity' towards KOD and its BoD (etc) outweighs much of the risk.

@JHolder is there news due before Christmas? I was under the impression (from the stream) that we are to expect the next proper update in January.

Let's be honest, we're never going to get any decent return until we are actually producing. This share is not and has never been the place to go for short-term traders.

@MrKing it seems to the inevitable nature of this share to drop whenever we get some good news. I doubt we'll see any decent return until we have reached production (although I would happily be proved wrong on that front).

As for the BSG 'situation' I have great sympathy for the views expressed by NEDHAMMER, surely these problems could to a merger, 'partnership or some other beneficial relationship for KOD if SC sees a benefit. Eager for people's views on this particular issue ofc.

I wouldn't expect II's to get in at this level, far too much volatility for many of them.

I would imagine it's because people were expecting a much bigger JORC maiden resource estimate; and by much bigger, I mean the biggest resource estimate in the world as opposed to one of the biggest.

It's somewhat amusing that all the ludicrous rampers/speculators have disappeared this morning. I don't know whether to be happy or not about their disappearance given the collapse in SP.
