I hear rumours the AP is of to Zim the week before GM... is this true?

As a result of the implementation of MAR, AIM Rule 21 was replaced by a requirement for AIM-listed companies to implement a share dealing policy which complies with a set of minimum requirements. The definition of a close period (redefined as a ‘closed period’) was also amended to be the 30 days prior to the release of financial results. The restrictions on dealing while in possession of unpublished price sensitive information remain.

AIM companies are required to establish appropriate closed periods (which may be more than the prescribed 30 days prior to the release of financial information) during which directors and applicable employees are restricted from dealing in the company’s shares, and create and implement procedures that directors and applicable employees are required to comply with prior to conducting any transactions in the company’s shares, in order to obtain clearance to deal. Finally, there should also be a procedure in place requiring notifications of dealings in the company’s shares to be disclosed to the company in order that the company can notify transactions which are required to be made public.

Why? What changed? Lack of 2nd tranche from Mercuria, dalliance with a bucket shop funder, couple of standard placing, reference to required restructures of SSGI debt and missed payments, delay in starting the clock on BP, trucks, charge release....all wrapped up with a lack of confidence in the ability to execute & communicate from the board. Add to the fact,wary of boards motives surrounding their investment in some assets, old faces still seemingly acting as advisors and the removal and replacement of key staff responsible for the fiscal duties...
Shareholders hurting as the reduction in MCap exacerbated in the share price given the dilution.

Sounds awful... not surprised... why on earth would I still be holding and have even bought substantial increases to average down?

I will start with.....Chiadzwa Community Development Trust has in principle been granted the right to mine diamonds in joint venture on the Heritage Concession (Block T1A of the Marange Diamond Fields) and has appointed Vast as its joint venture partner in the exploration and mining of diamonds in the area.

Anyone else want to add a reason?

If you wanted to be critical you could say that timelines are a bit slipped, drilling campaign was expected to be complete end Dec and we are told today that assays passed end of Feb
Counter this with the fact the company has been preserving cash, has had a few other projects and or issues to progress, but this news confirms they are on top of all aspects and keen to push progress on multiple fronts. This secured an important opportunity and I believe demonstrates a grip on their operations.

Interesting to see the time reference in the RNS given recent criticism.

Roll on the next week or so and let see what comes next. Personally I would love to see a climb now. Fed up languishing at these levels

Dodge, I was penning a similar note this am, assume AP is confident in resolving The financial restructuring, confident in the plans to move to a cash accretive position, and therefore continue with the business and all projects the company has

At worst case it is a contingency, and at best the opportunity is fantastic for the company

Small news but all important as we wait for lawyers and news of funding.

It still irks me that AP starts most of his podcasts along the lines of the market has not understood our RNS...

Surely given how many times he has had to say this he should make sure these official releases are clearer and less ambiguous if he feels they need subsequent follow up.

I understand the requirement for some flexibility but this is becoming a reoccurring theme... release news and then try to explain a version of what it means.
Irksome, a waste of time and not the actions of a clear and focussed board.
