The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Many thanks to all contributors.
Let’s hope that the Synairgen team are as well researched.

It’s only when you begin to look at this that you can understand many people have a lot to answer for in the way this trial has been administered.
Surely, this must be common knowledge and so should have been fed down the clinician line?
Whether this is a Synairgen team, hospitals running the trials, or a combination of both blame?
Regardless, 87% received SOC in the form of steroids!
Add 30% improvements to our 36 and we get a very impressive 66%.
Surely, some interesting narratives to emerge from the Deep dive?
Andy
Sorry for the delay, been hard at it all day.
It’s an interesting question you pose.
Pre-readout I had my doubts, but was trying to be positive, believing that he knew what he was doing.
I, like many, were overwhelmed by the evidence that was lined up mainly from investors. My concerns were generally from a lack of communication as I believe it is a CEOs role to keep lines of communication open.
I certainly can’t judge him on the last 17 years as I’ve only been invested here for a couple of years and it would be highly unfair to give an opinion.
I can’t remember anyone on here discussing SOC, pre readout, and there have been some highly intelligent posters; did anyone consider this?
I’m not a biotech specialist, so can’t comment on SOC, I only listen and try to come to a sensible judgement.
I feel your pain, as it’s disappointing.
But, at this point, it’s no good constantly moaning. He has failed to inspire; will he learn and recover?
We will see in the next 4-6 weeks for sure.
ATB
I’m watching from afar, where possible, but your postings are ridiculous.
Are you a Biotech expert?
No, so why are you constantly giving the same tiring opinion on here?
Are you a CEO?
No, you are a level headed, responsible and calm individual that works in the City. You said that you can recoup your losses quite easily, because of your job, so why the incessant and obsessive rants?
We are all frustrated, none more so than me, but trying to get a response from other investors on here will not do anything to the SP or the companies strategy.
We invested in the drug and believed in the Company.
Have some belief and dare I say it, even more patience for just 6 more weeks and let’s hope the deep dive and A2 brings some gems.
If not, then we have to face the facts that we made a mistake for investing in Synairgen.
I do feel your pain, but this is not the way forward imo.
ATB LTHs.
Change your broker!
Long term holders; follow the money.
They got it wrong the first time, due to unforeseen circumstances, like we all did.
4-6 weeks time the path will hopefully be clearer.
Patience and GLA.
Come on folks, wake up!!
If there is to be any market sensitive news in this proposed interview, then their will need to be an RNS first.
If not, it will just be a repeat of what we already now.
GLA
Many thanks BG.
Doc
I agree with your last paragraph.
Tommy is also doing sterling research, as you quite rightly say.
Pre-Sprinter readout, as you are aware, we had so many impressive posters and researchers on this board. The evidence for being invested was pretty overwhelming. Those contributors are still invested here, but watching from afar.
In my opinion, it now doesn’t matter what evidence is stacked up on this board, the SP will take its own course. The only action that will make the SP fly North, will have to come from the Synairgen team. It will reinforce that we still have some hope, but until we get news from the SYN team, plateau is the word!
Trading this share, is now virtually impossible imo due to the spreads set by MM and the minimal movements of the SP.
So, it’s sit on your hands time, yet again, and live in hope due to the lack of comms that the team are lifting the gems from the stone.
GLA
We have thankyou.
Not sure they give out antibiotics for a cold??
ATB
Mmmm
One thing for sure is the volume is low!
You can never be sure that sells are not buys and vice-versa. Check the price at the time v bid and ask.
One thing for sure is the volume is low!
Tommy
Glad you posted this.
‘However, the best option is to avoid this scenario altogether through rigorous upfront planning. By making sure that there is evidence of strong pathophysiological and mechanistic underpinnings that are common to both the new therapy and the disease, by selecting appropriate patients and end points, by calculating an adequate sample size, by paying meticulous attention to dosing, definitions of disease and outcomes, and all procedural processes, and by anticipating the ways in which the trial might fail and give rise to criticisms, one can enhance the likelihood of reaching a decisive conclusion.
Was meticulous attention paid to dosing?

News without delay doesn’t necessarily mean that it won’t be long in coming to fruition.
It means that once this is complete, there will be no delay in reporting it, as per stock exchange trading rules.
Anyones guess is how long it will take, as we know they are not the quickest company at delivering the goods.
Thanks Titania.
Bryso
Pretty much sums up most long term investors strategy, I would think.

That was my question to Brooke shields, for which I’m awaiting a reply.
That was my concern, as you rightly stated.
ATB
Yes, many thanks to Tommy in particle their efforts.
I was encouraged by the following, posted yesterday:
‘In addition to monitoring drug safety, the lifecycle evaluation approach enables regulators to approve drugs based on clinical evidence that is less robust, with the understanding that drugs will continue to be evaluated after approval.’
This sounds like a possibility for us. Pretty sure if we were a major pharma we would have applied already.
I’m sure that RM’s knowledge is tip-top as to the possibilities at our disposal.

We’re obviously not worthy of your presence.
As the chosen one, why don’t you stay around and improve the quality on the board. You could then astound us with your quality posts.
Tatty
You’re Probably right :)
Emotions are running high, as we have no leading light fronting up on behalf of the company.
Normally, a leader will step up when these situations occur.
We keep soldiering on.
