Was this a UT? If so it may be skewing the close price... I only ask as if that's the case we can expect this to open down tomorrow without all the hysterics that seem to come with it
Truth - to clarify, you are predicting a closing price tomorrow between 9.41 and 10.49? Being the range for a 5%-10% per day drop from 11.62p?
Hi All, only vaguely related but thought I'd post incase anyone has experienced a similar situation and knows the answer...
I top sliced here on the 2nd, with the contract date being today, with the intention to withdraw it from my ISA post-settlement (i.e. tomorrow). I've just exited another share entirely and given the drop here I'm looking to top up... does anyone know if the trading platform (AJ Bell) will allocate the cash for that top up in any particular order? i.e. if I don't top up with all the cash in my ISA will I still be able to withdraw some tomorrow?
I'm not desperate for the cash, so if nobody knows the answer I'm going to top up regardless and see what happens... just thought it was worth an ask
Allowing for the fact that the spready isn't great this has been traded sideways all afternoon... a marked change from all the action early morning
Agree 100% Bobat - mms are playing massively on the PI activity here... there's no stability in the price at all, they drop it by 8%, raise it by 10% immediately, the spread is awful... I'm sure it's doing the trick too, I think they'll be flushing out quite a few nervous investors along the way
He's trolling... clearly
Try telling Carillion that... I believe they'd actually resorted to selling assets off just to plus the dividend gap before it hit the proverbial
People like Breakfree are the ones that really ought to be banned from this site - it baffles me that the moderators aren't better at managing that and yet they'll happily remove legitimate and informative posts just because someone else disagrees with the conclusions and petulantly decides to report them
There’s c. 379m shares... you can reverse engineer it from the SP (10.5p) and the Macp (£40m) if you aren’t sure!
To be fair though the huge drop yesterday probably spooked a lot of speculative investors who suddenly saw their profits wiped out of found themselves heavily underwater... it's entirely reasonable to expect that now we've recovered a lot of that lost ground they dont have the stomach to sit in over the weekend
The overall trend has been positive all day - but the rise is being heavily sold into by traders, hence the resistance
Agree the spread isn’t helping here... this is begging to break 11p now
Yeah, you lost me when you claimed to sell at 15p... funny how people always shout about how they exited right at the top of a spike after the fact... what do you want? An imaginary pat on the back?!
Presumably companies like ESL will hedge their fuel to protect against volatility, so whilst a fall in oil prices will be good it may not have as much impact as you'd think... not a de-remap, the same would apply for a spike in oil prices
Why the assumption that the sellers are done? Both have reduced by 50% so are clearly selling in tranches. If the logic re-pension funds holds then surely Axa are still dumping stock? As others have said, this should push on once the big sellers are out but I’m not convinced that it will gap up tomorrow morning as others are claiming
Going to be another manic day tomorrow then… Good luck to everyone who held their nerve today, it hasn’t been easy
PIs being absolutely played here... at least people holding from yesterday morning/early afternoon are unlikely to lose money
Fun is one word for it... yes
Personally I'm massively overweight here now from c. 6.5p! If I was sat out and giving advice I'd be telling myself to top slice this now, but I really don't think it's one to be out of overnight... I'm not going to get much sleep tonight though :/
9 bagged?!
