Last statement suggested now 68% of its pubs are freehold. Most spoons are huge buildings in heavily populated areas and City's. They have one hell of a property portfolio that far outweighs current mkt cap. GLA

Usual doomsday mob out in force, pandemic credit crunch inflation etc no real surprises. Fully staffed, premises being refurbed can't be all bad. Worth remembering Spoons never made a loss prior to start of pandemic and they have a property portfolio that far out strips the mkt cap. Grumpy Tim always moaning about something but he's no mug. Can't see the directors buying nigh on a million quid's worth of shares if there wasn't a brighter outlook on the horizon. Recession cost of living etc already priced in . Going by website traffic it would appear things may not be as bad as the media would have us believe. Painting a gloomier picture seems to attract more viewers/sell more papers. Read on the Boo Hoo board that they will be charging £2 per parcel for returns. (non premier customers) Long overdue in my opinion hoping ASOS follow suit. Zealando now charging and Next also charge for returns. Opinions?

My partner is a mini cab driver, spoons is buy far the busiest pub in town. "busy does not matter" seems a odd statement? i would assume that the busier the better? GLA

I read a while back that Spoon's property portfolio far exceeds the mkt cap. Also my local spoons is as busy as its ever been, would have thought that Pubs selling cut price booze would benefit from a so called cost of living squeeze? I think spoons is being dragged down with the £5+ a pint brewers. Some pubs in my town £5.80 a pint, spoons £2.20. Pretty simple, if your feeling the pinch and still want a beer spoons the place to go.

KB, directors bought nigh on 400K this month, retail getting hammered worldwide, it will turn. Problem is everyone wants a quick return. As soon as that clown Putin gets ousted/war over normality will return and you'll be quids in. Zalando had the same kicking as have Boohoo Superdry etc. Patience will pay off.

Institutions, Hedge Funds etc fleecing PI's. Huge numbers of PIs entered the market during lockdown. Billions invested worldwide now getting hoovered up and making a fortune for the big boys. Fortunately i have no need for my funds for a long time yet but i feel for people who have to sell. Once normality returns and that muppet Putin is disposed of this will bounce back sharp. Youngsters like looking good and having latest fashions etc that will never go. Look at historical chart ASOS has always been trading low/high/low /high.......GLA
