If CFO was resigning he'd have gone not stay around during a transition period till end year still employed. If it was all going tits up you ain't hanging around you resign and go. Maybe he don't get on with new chairman CEO etc fancies a change, who knows. Next had a fairly decent set of results the other week with decent summer weddings etc all adding to sales i'm expecting Asos to have similar. GLA

According to the website ASOS have a huge number of vacancies in various locations to be filled. Roles in management logistics IT Marketing etc. That would indicate to me that business is going forward and strong growth, no business has recruitment drives when in distress. Thoughts?

Just a forced drop due to inflation numbers and CFO departure. No real surprises with the inflation numbers and stated sometime back that the board will be reshuffled. Broker sell rating same as last month (never really pay that much attention to Brokers) looks to me a opportunity to flush out a few PI's happened a few times over the last few months. Directors buys £500k around this price . Energy in fashion atm but retailers will have their day again. GLA

Jon your optimism is commendable but dream on. My average is £18.50 and i'm in it for long term rather than nursing a heavy loss. Until some positive numbers are published i think SP will drift. GLA

So CFO left big deal. 8% drop more attached to UK inflation and as usual ASos gets an exaggerated fall. Be up to a £12+ again soon enough then rinse repeat. All rather boring really. Volumes should start picking up next month hopefully share price will settle. MA stake building take overs etc just wishful thinking.

Ofgem not fit for purpose. Media jumping on the band wagon and causing mass panic. Govt will act and eventually all the hysteria will be forgotten. Biggest problem is the press/tv they are making predictions based on what might happen, bunch of clowns.

I've also been holding a while and intend to hold on for £8+. Peel Hunt gave a target of £9+ back in may 21, thought that was a tad ambitious but not now. I'm avg £2.61 and have more confidence here than the rest of my portfolio. Quality will always out. GLA

Directors bought £500k+ the other month, Next results better than expected (just had upgrade from Barclays "Overweight") i'm 40% under at the mo but comfortable i'll see a profit in the coming months. Don't matter what picture the doomsters try to paint people, and youngsters in particular like clothes, like going out and nothing will change that. I know, my daughter and her friends are out every weekend with their new outfits. GLA

Agree Ryan i think the cost of living, recession etc was priced in sometime ago. Asos historical chart over last 10 years is full of peaks and troughs. Will take a bit of time but will peak again. GLA

Still no move to charge a return fee as yet. One of the few retailers that are still offering free returns. Premier next day delivery and free returns £9.95 a year. Next is double that and still very reasonable at £20 for the year. It costs me a tenner in parking going into town on a Saturday afternoon! I think these charges are far to low encourage returns........any thoughts/opinions? GLA

Just averaged down now only sitting on a 52% loss (painful) normally i wouldn't bother averaging down but i think the drop is way overdone. Will take some time to see a profit but confident i will. Meanwhile SMS needs to get the ship back on track. GLA
