The current directors will be in a closed period at the moment as the final results are due anytime.
During the closed period, directors are forbidden from buy/selling shares.
Furthermore if the company is looking at potentially RTO candidates again they will be in a closed period.

Cash shells valuable for lots of reasons.
In the case of #PAL from memory there was $46M dollars worth of tax losses to be utilised - so if the RTO is like for like business and is profitable, then they can offset profits etc

In General cash shells allow an easier "listing" for a private asset than the traditional IPO route - a lot cheaper to.

Ususally the NOMADS, Brokers, advisors and lawyers all make good £ on these type of deals, so the brokers are alaways keen to keep these shells available on the market.

Not forgetting the people that finance these types of deals, again always a good £ to be made.

Thanks for your comments Quantam Star - yes a reasonable holding - AOGL is well under the radar, unloved and thus a perfect time to accumulate some stock.

When you read this statement below it is clear to me that somebody else is driving the company at the moment.
Both these directors signalled early that they were getting the boot - handover is taking place in my opinion and soembody else driving this company - Clean shells are like gold dust, especially one that has a 5 month window at the moment. Worth having a look at how #PAL has unfolded there - its a few strides further down the line.

2019 results probably wont make good reading, but from my understanding of reading RNS's etc
Company has no debt
Cash - at a gues £250k - with Austin field receivables and possibly other asset receivables
I expect a new director or 2 as soon as per RNS
