My machine had air trowels to give the cement a smooth finish, had to make sure that the air pressure was off on bends in the pipe or the cement would drop like a blanket, to avoid the top dropping if it looked a bit iffy I would just turn off the cement feed while moving backwards along the pipe, the company was paid well.......
The smaller pipe in the video is drag lining, did this above ground on 36 inch oil pipes in Scotland, this is when I decided not to work underground again up to 8 hours laying on a metal trolley...................

I used to reline water pipes with cement 400 yards per day was the target on a 36 inch pipe, was a high paying job at the time lining machine operator....................... 1974 to 1976 happy days............. LOL
