The rns was ambiguous enough for it to be whatever you want it to be, until hindsight kicks in. as the whole company is about the 'implementation of the Group's GS Money strategy' and 'potentially' but not definitively about acquisitions, i don't see how the statement, other than the trashtalk of 'keeping the lights on', as if it was on its last legs, is incorrect.

yes, the group have used the same wording for the past couple of acquisitions (though, still struggling to complete... so maybe the money is to complete at least one of hem on approval?) but if it WAS for an acquisiton, why not just say it! where's the value in being coy about it?
