the point is, having 127 million from 2billion isn't a great sign of confidence, when they've had 3 years to average down.

and the fact that well over 1billion shares are held by retailers doesn't inspire.

BFd, my concern is that Bai only holds 127million shares. by my reckoning (and the rampy talk here) that's the equivalent of a half dozen posters on here. so that leave a couple of billion shares in the hands of, when all's said and done, novices, however much retailers like to think they know (#EUA being a fair case in point).

i applaud all the confidence shown in the share and its progress but when things shift, one's opinion maybe has to shift too?

and i question why the BoD haven't increased their stake when 300million shares have been sold over the past year.from those ex-directors.

it leaves the potential down merely to EUA style rises based solely on ramps and talk of the possibility of news... imo.

not that i have a problem with that, as you pointed out yourself. there's money to be made on just sentiment and bs ramps!

You have to accept that we've now got two BoD with major stakes in the company who've decided that their fortunes lie elsewhere.

and, closed period or no, i find it incredible that it would have been impossible to find an opportunity for someone else with a vested interest to buy those shares from them?

in all the banking and crypto world, there's noone out there that sees this as a golden opportunity to get in at a 60% discount to the CEO?

If anyone WERE interested in taking it over you'd expect them to take a chunk of shares first, to influence any vote... so need a TR1 to indicate as much.

I wouldn't see having another 100million to 'maybe' sell as any great comfort, unless he's prepared to take any price, in which case the lower the sp the faster they get taken up.

but, again, where are the TR1s from major buyers? last thing the share needs is to keep getting more retailers buying as they already hold 55%.

needs some bank or... anyone with a history that proves this has the kind of future that makes ii's or HNWIs want to throw their weight behind.
