RE: What would be good is, after AGM they announce the deal with Easysend, hence the shares.24 Sep 2024 14:57
Some reall irrelevances being bought up and some arguing for argument's sake.
i agree with Lloyd, the conclusion of Semnet is v odd. they could have done the deal on the date of the rns, with the shares issued at that price. that they haven't says they either hoped that the sp would be much higher (which is what pi's assumed) so issuing fewer shares or the sp has to be... 'trashed' to bring it low enough so that, for example, double the shares would need to be issued. and the only reason for that would be to guarantee them a better chance of profiting from the rise to come!
so, you either believe that the sp is going to fly before the deal completes and the shares will be issued following some amazing news or they are witholding news, in the same way they didn't bother rnsing Wellesley, so they can ramp it post conclusion.
the knock on with that is what if the same play is done with Easysend, where part payment is done in a trashed sp to give the new owners a gauaranteed bigger profit!
seems fairly obvious that the BoD don't care about the sp along the way as they are dealing with an endgame and, as it's their biz, they don't care if it takes 5-10 years to complete. for them, it's not the journey but the destination. retailers need to be able to bale along the way.
