Not really. most of the sells are either folk anticipating getting the retail offer (which will be reduced) so then the mms push the sp up over 0.5 to start, and then the buying continues again.

nice that folk get the chance to buy some at 0.46 but i don't think it'll be at that price for long...

I think they're delayed sells from earlier this morning.

Not sure holding is a good idea if the range is in the area you state, as there's 30% to be had between those two numbers!

personally, i see 72ish close in the weekend... and something like upper 60s before some buying interest occurs. just my take on it, but i sold at 78 this morning, having bought in at 90 on what i thought was stability before rise.

As that's your mantra whichever share you post on why do you think anyone would take a blind bit of notice? you just want in cheaper than the current price. if you really thought that, why say anything? why not just wait in the wings for the 'mugs' to get theirs on the drop?

ASI, it's just not true that shares move relative to the total shares issued. rises and falls exist in a macro environment. that's why we see spikes and troughs.

it takes less than 1% of shares sold to see a 20% drop... same with rises.

mms magnify the trading moves to make their commission... without these exagerated moves there'd be no moves in some shares, due to the number of shares in existence!

eg. GST just has a 30% spike in the price but it didn't need 30% of their 2.2billion shares to move it. took a total 54million of buys and sells to get from 1.15 - 1.55. if your logic were true, it would have needed 10x that volume or 20x if you want to be strictly accurate, as that 54million will have included buys and sells.

news or ramping/trolling has far more influence, if done well.

Then, if it follows the history of small WRAP offers relative to fundraise, folk will just have to the markets to get what they want. makes the 0.45s look very attractive but it WILL create a bit of a buying frenzy, even if they widen the offer.

The more oversubscribed it'll be... and the more scaled back it is, the more demand to buy from the market. so maybe those that got mugged on the way to the 0.7 spike will see their pain is only temporary.

agree that July is a long, lonnnng way away. but plenty of time for ramping and trolling to have an effect.

But you say 'bigger and brighter' but there's nothing to suggest that's the case. it took years for VIC to be where they are. and they still haven't really detailed just what they want to do with MFI.

and the thing about saying 'it will be mid 80s/90 next week/100 in June is it's just based on you probably having bought at 88 and wanting to be in profit.

if you don't look at the trades and see the patterns then you're just punting.

fair enough... it can work but it's not really looking at the info out there, beyond the fact that it's dropped.
