All good thanks, still got a little in some AIM companies but as advised it's only money I'm prepared to lose. I'll be keeping an eye on how things are going anyway as it's bonus time in Jan which needs to go somewhere. Best wishes to buster.
I sold up this morning. Bought in at 499p and sold at 620p. Needed the money for a car, the sp increase this morning was a relief as I had to sell anyway. Wish I could of stayed in for the bigger div and probable sp rise coming but needs must. Thanks to all the informative posters on here since I started.
Well done SUF you called this right since I've been on the board. Obviously everyone should do their own research, your posts helped me make the decision to go into HSBA and i'm now £1.18 a share up so a personal thank you for your posts.
I somehow locked my self out my account so when I called iWeb to reset it I asked them. They said it should be completed by Monday, then put me on hold and did it whilst I was on hold. Only got me an extra 11 shares but I only started with shares in July and it's not a pension for me just an ISA. Average book cost is now 501p a share so I think it's going well?
I've read similar views on AIM. To be honest I've only started in shares this year from a work bonus so if it's all a loss I'm still ok financially. In the long term 5% annual returns from ftse listed companies will do me fine as invest more.
Meant to do it this morning but just got in with 1059 shares at 47.25p. Hopefully a couple of decent days in it as I'm not normally a day trader.
SUF, I changed my settings from receiving money to reinvestment, is this the samething or is what you are talking about for a more direct way than the company I use? (iWeb/Halifax) I assumed It would just spend my divi money when I got it on shares of that days price. I'm still new to this
