Sein, with 70 open positions it’s not as if you’re going to have 10 or 20% of your portfolio in omi. That’s logical. You’re a risk averse investor. You’d probably get the same performance with a tracker fund.

With 70 positions there is no way in hell you could make more than 10% a year. Sorry to be so blunt :)

Sein, a 3.5p average is inconsequential when omi is perhaps only 2 or 3% of your portfolio given your 70 positions. It could 10 fold but hardly effect your entire portfolio. Same with mstr, it might have 15 bagged but what effect did it have on overall portfolio?

Why not just buy a tracker fund?

Good post Dr. No explorer escaped the relentless decline from 2020. In a way, the omi price decline has been a blessing in disguise: I've managed to increase my stake 5 fold as have others including yourself.

All the moaning ninnies here have not put me off from adding. These type of guys will never make big money on the stock market imho. They're too cautious.

bhargav and johnstone are like twedle dum and dee. are they related? who knows but they do work as a tag team.

Impy, I’m overweight here, by a lot, but it is a calculated gamble which adds to the fun. This could quite easily 5x or 10x in a matter of weeks/ months.

Men by nature are degenerate gamblers. Ask bhargav :-)

Seingred, it is time to reduce your 70 positions down to 5 imho with a weighting towards two dodgy Aim stocks. How the hell do you expect to make any serious money with 70 positions? You might as well just put it in a savings account at 4% a year.

With 70 open positions you will be struggling to make 5-10% a year.

Be brave and stop fannying around with two bit trades. Grab the bull by the horns and take a gamble for gods sake instead of whinging day and night!

Seingred, with 70 open positions, you cannot have more than a few grand invested here, if that. Why you spend so much time here baffles me lol. Grow a pair, sell 50 of your other positions and chuck the lot in here. I'd respect that :)

Me, I will only hold one or two AIM stocks at any one time but invest big.

Bitcoin and crypto's are the biggest bubble in history. When they crash and go to zero, its going to be spectacular. A lot of punters will lose their entire life savings.

You should join us gamblers and buy 1 or 2m shares and sit tight if you want to make big money !

Aegos, I’m sure the good Dr was not trying to pass of the paragraph as his own. Just an oversight. It’s a public forum not an academic journal and people will at times quote each other.

Legal, there is a still a placing risk. So it is advisable to invest only the amount you are prepared to lose.

Seingred, I don’t know for sure obviously whether Rick Rule took part in the February placing but my idea is based on an educated guess for a number of reasons, namely:

1) the AGM was held in Canada for the first time in omi’s history

2) omi was only a handful of AIM companies invited to present at the rick rule sponsored mining conference.

3) omi have adopted the Canadian 10% shareholding notification rule (from memory)

4) omi did not need to raise money at that particular time. They had close to $2m in the bank

5) Rick is constantly saying 90% of listed companies are dross. So why invite little ole omi?

That’s all I can think of at the moment. Just to add, I’m still a buyer at these prices

Bhargav is like the ghost of Xmas past. He will haunt this board for years to come instead of enjoying life. His bitterness knows no bounds.

I worry about his mental health.

Orosur has broken him. Clearly he is a novice at this game. He got lucky with ggp but did sell 90% of his stake at the low when newmont pulled out. He’s fortunate he retained 10%. If he’d held his full stake he would have been a millionaire.

He is a reckless gambler by his own admission. He swings from wild pessimism to wild optimism. A highly unstable character suffering from delusion and hysteria.

To think he was encouraging investors to buy omi up to 50p - where did he get that figure from or did he just pull it out of his backside?

ST, Bhargav shot his load early. He went in guns blazing at 35-45p and has been crying about it ever since.

One must take responsibility for one’s actions. It’s like me failing my A levels and blaming the teachers. That won’t wash.

It’s time for bhargav now to be a big boy and admit he made a colossal mistake buying omi at the highs. We all make mistakes.

No doubt he was taking out loans to buy shares here. That would explain why he became mentally unhinged. Still is unhinged by the looks of it

ST, I too did not fear a funding raise after the admittedly surprise raise in February. I felt they did not need the funds at the time. Was it a strategic raise to bring in sophisticated investors like Rick Rule? Who knows but it was an odd time to raise money when there was no clarity on Anza still.

Rick Rule is known for seeking rock bottom entries.

Omi do not have a history of issuing shares like confetti if you look back. Why would they start now?

The fear mongering was off the charts lol. I used that time and the low share price to increase my stake here 4 fold.
