Consolidation - 100 for 17 Nov 2025 15:13
I've been invested in shares where consolidation took place, going right back to the days of Dragon Oil.
This my opinion only, consolidation is a no no for me. In theory shareholder valuation doesn't change, whether you hold 1m shares at 1p, or 10k at £1.
This particular consolidation is set too high, perhaps 20-1, but at 100-1 it removes the liquidity we retails investors like. We all know, this share can go from 1p to 2p within couple of sessions. Anyone with say 1m shares, can see his/her valuation go from £10k to £20k, or even £30k due to liquidity and wild swings.
Now fast forward to post consolidation, same person with 1m shares, will hold 10K, instead of 1p a share, sp will be £1, there's no way the the sp will go from a £1 to £2 in couple of sessions, and for this this reason alone, WSBN has lost its appeal for me.
I don't have a large holding, just 550k, post consolidation I'll end up with 5.5k shares, doesn't have that magic or shine attached top it, I'll hold and see where we go from here.
MM's never play on a straight wicket, on the day of consolidation, they'll play dirty to make a few bucks.
