This is going to be very interesting. In the end MA will have to come through the front door and make a bid for Debenhams. All this posturing will come to nothing. The board at Debs will fight him in every way possible. They have there jobs and the company to think of. Referral to competition commission is one delaying tactic. However the time scales of addressing the fund raising by the end of the month is also interesting.A lot can happen before the EGM.

Pearls, the date of the RNS by SPD was 13 Sept. so It will by six months from then, I think. He should be able to bed again for Debs after we’d next week, In my view.

I think this refers to a statement MA made in Oct last year that he was not interested in bidding for Debenhams. That means he can’t make a formal takeover offer for 6 months.

Thank you for this info. Even though it is tainted with your negative stance as usual. In time debs will turn around and this prices will be history. You are a mouth piece for shorter. Once they close there position you will be found staging another company. The elephant in the room is there are a number of paid posters on social media and there job is to slag this company. You are a good example of this in my opinion.

Smartie2, good to read your post, I too want to wait and see what the news is. I am hopeful that in time this will recover and be on the high street. Good luck with your investments. I am holding this in fact it is the the main investment in my portfolio. So I am suffering for now,but hopeful.

You seem very worried today. Is shorter squeeze causing you anxiety. The share price at these levels has all doom and gloom priced in any positive outcome will lead to recovery in share price. That means happy days ahead. So I will wait for the details to see where the future target price of the shares. Good to hold for now and see what unfolds. Have a lot invested here, fingers crossed.

Next week will give a real view of the future look of Deb. Great to hear the outline , banks want to support the company, trim some stores and agree some form of CVA. All this very positive. Also new injection of money is good. If MA is willing to invest with his 30% stake, then I am too. No worries here all going to turn out good in my view. Shorters shitting in there pants though.
