Bit cryptic there on a post Sunday lunch session apologies.
Just saying the Flu this year is reportedly bad and certainly when mixed with any COVID variant (get both - would be worrying) - perhaps the media are hyping it a bit.
Anyway the need for fast accurate testing - that can differentiate between COVID and Flu (Using a modified Aptamer ?) - would be really useful..
Is it not / systemic failure in organs / so it intensifies underlying health conditions to create a sepsis scenario I think in most cases (why it was decided last year to lockdown to protect the vulnerable and the NHS being overwhelemed).
Cue Early detection systems and their potential - we have one waiting in the wings?
Prof S -very driven and IMO a good man - so hope we can see it through as its badly needed.
Anti-biotics - not many decent ones left on the Subs bench when the main players do not perform.

Macro events seem to be Covid variants and lockdowns globally with huge need for testing - on the rise again.
That’s just Covid
SEPSIS - ,looking forward to hearing about this in RNS going forwards.
I don’t think COVID kills - it’s the consequences in the vulnerable that needs to be detected early help to prevent unnecessary mortality.
