I saw on the GC page that you asked what I think I said after last week’s placing that I would be having a re-think and having looked at where they were when I first became interested (around April this year) and where they are now, not much has changed apart from the GVT satellite contract going live and subsequent dilution to raise funds. We all know that it is the subscriber fees that makes MIRA compelling and its always been about adding to the four contracts they have, they haven’t added any new ones since I’ve been invested but have kept reiterating that they still expect to announce some this year, they haven’t as yet but to be fair their calendar year still has over 4 months to go. Purely on the basis that I think the trial that is happening now with a bigger player in the Latin American region will end up being the real deal and therefore transform MIRA’s revenue for at least 3 year’s all on its own through millions of subscriber fees that have no cost attached ………. I’m staying put ……….. but I’m not adding anymore.

If I didn’t like the look of something or thought it didn’t add up I’d move on, even if that means taking a loss, it sure does relieve the stress instantly! Personally I’ve got no problem with that wording, they only have limited resources and it looks like they are committed to making sure this trial turns into a proper deal, I would hope however that with the recent funds raised they will be announcing other contracts as well ……….. time will tell.

From my contact with the CEO I’ll have to say honesty, but they really need to deliver now I’ve read on the BB over the last few weeks that the H/Y numbers were going to be good, but that has never stacked up ……….. without winning new contracts the initial product fees have dried up and I follow the subscriber numbers of the contracts they have and it’s AXTEL at the moment that is letting the side down, GVT are still growing strongly The money for the trial will be waited to the second half as they say, no fairy tales there, just common sense!

It’s the draw of the trial being successful that’s going to keep me here ……….. if it is with NET Brazil or any other company with that kind of subscriber base then over £5m per year for the next 3 years in subscriber fees from one company which have no costs attached will as they say Transform MIRA’s revenue ………… time will tell

Yeah, I had a feeling the H/Y was going to be light as they hadn’t won any new contracts and the AXTEL TV contract is not growing anywhere near as was hoped (not yet anyway) so revenue would be second half heavy, but I thought that the last placing would see them through so I didn’t see this coming. They’ve definitely (I hope) got the cash to see them progress to at least hopefully seeing this paid for trial ending up being the real deal ……….. I won’t panic I’ve only been here since March, but I’ll be having a rethink, that’s for sure.

I was wondering that over the weekend, if the first trial is up and running and the site that it’s situated has held up it would be interesting to know if it did the job it’s supposed to Worth remembering that when the large Hurricane that hit the Bahamas last year the only telecom sites to keep working faultlessly were those Backed-Up by Fuel Cells

I still think the paid for trial is with Net Serviços Brazil and at present they have 5.7m subscribers The new kids on the Brazilian block ……… GVT ……… are using MIRA’s EPG in their IPTV offering and also in their recently launched satellite offering, they have been growing their IPTV service at around 30k subscribers per month, I’d say there’s a good chance the cheaper Satellite service will attract better numbers. The MIRA Iris product syncs Ipads, Phones, PC’s and TV’s which is giving GVT the edge at present in the Brazilian market I’ve said it before but it was only a matter of time before others would want the same easy to use and advanced product Net Serviços Brazil is my bet for the hoped for new contract and I’d also bet that it’s about as done a deal as you can get without seeing a signature

With regards Ericsson, it’s Ericsson that does all the running trying to close new business for IPTV solutions, MIRA just piggy back, get paid for the product and maintenance etc. and of course receive the all-important subscriber fees The IRIS product that is in the latest GVT satellite offering and the cable offering of Cablecom is all MIRA and it’s this system that is being trialled by the company who already have several million subscribers already

GVT are still signing up new subscribers to their IPTV solution at a rate of just over 30k per month (relevant info on Vivendi’s website and various articles on the web) which is impressive ………… but the much bigger satellite market only saw their DTH service come on line in August, expect good fee revenue in MIRA’s second half of this year from this one company alone ………… each subscriber is worth about £3 to MIRA with no cost attached “In December 2012 we announced that we had secured a contract for the launch of a satellite service in Latin America, we can now say that this deal is for GVT’s new DTH deployment. This contract was signed directly with GVT without any intermediaries. The service was launched in August 2013 and GVT will now use mirada’s technology to access new customers in regions with a high demand for Digital TV services which they could not previously access through their IPTV product.”

There’s no doubt that if the contract with the already established company with several million subscribers comes off as expected/hoped, then combined with existing contracts it should make MIRA very very profitable little company, especially as all those fees will have no cost attached! On top of that there is hopefully more news due this year ………… “This has led to further substantial opportunities arising, and we expect to be able to make announcements on the progress of these opportunities in the coming months."

Actually the promise looks like it could be turning into something significant here as well, just need positive trial news, which is due and an order to go with it!!!
