"93% by volume of the invoices processed by Tungsten are e-invoices as stated in the 2015 annual report. Does this indicate that Tungsten is unable to process invoices for the nearly 75% of small suppliers which is what Hurwitz's statement could be taken to imply."
No, this was a survey of SMEs, commissioned by TUNG, NOTHING to do with their customer base, as CLEARLY stated in the article quoted.
"The study, by Red Dot Research, found that the average SME is owed £40,857 in unpaid invoices, with £20,937 of that total overdue. Tungsten calculates that when applied across the UK’s 5.2 million SMEs, the total owed could be as much as £212 billion.
Of the 1,000 companies surveyed, 23 per cent said that late payments had put them at risk of closure."
"I've always suspected that there are major problems in this area, that is that a system which is applicable to only a fraction of a supplier's invoices is really more of a hinderance than an aid."
Oh well, if you don't bother to read articles fully, or if you cannot understand what the article is telling you, I would imagine that you suspect all manner of things.
No offence meant, obviously.
