In 2017, global tungsten production hit 95,000 tonnes, up from 2016’s total of 88,100 tonnes. International output in 2018 is expected to top last year’s total, but if mines and projects are shut down and delayed, total output could be lower, creating scarcity and weighing on investor sentiment.

Rough idea was that China produced 80% of world tungsten, so 50k tons is a huge step down in output. Maybe the boss’s $400-500/mtu will come to pass sooner than we think.

Thanks Troajan! I thought it was 10-20% tin, but couldn't find a definitive value, so erred on the side of caution, as always.

Tin is 10% of production, so I calculate that the opex should reduce by $3.71/mtu.

That increases ebitda by up to $1m.

The price of tin is not academic. As of today, it is the correct price.

Wres will receive 18.58% more USD for every ton of tin it sells. FACT!

Well, the tin price changes from minute to minute, but even at $21,345/ton, the tin credit is 18.58% higher.

When the opex was last worked out, the tin credit was based on $18,000/ton.

At $23,000/ton, the tin credit should be 27.77% higher.
