No. Not joking. Count the words “could” in my statement. Two coulds do not make a ramp in my book, but I understand that a troll would put it that way.

The mcap is dwarfed by the npv. What stops ROSE from drilling that value out of Paradox?

I cannot argue against that view. I would, at the very least, have expected Idiens to REDUCE his salary to a reasonable level, given the lack of success, not INCREASE it to a stupid level.

If all of the above is obvious to the average PI, I would expect it to be obvious to Mr Sefton and Mr Berwick. They must know more of the situation than us, yet they have taken positions on the bod. I therefor expect them to have a rescue plan.

The point is that “these two guys” have credibility. They can borrow millions and already have. Winners over course and distance.

dsrt2012, I agree with everything you say about what happened with Rose in the past. I would say that Idiens has not only been a poor CEO, but has also paid himself way too much money, considering the losses that most shareholders have suffered to date.

The new guys are VERY different from Idiens, in that they have experience AND success in O&G. In January 2019, Dave Sefton raised £6m on AAOG’s 56% holding in the Congo.

I think raising the same amount, to progress Paradox Basin should be relatively easy, given the $122m npv to Rose. Of course, I may be wrong, but it seems a reasonable risk reward ratio to me.

southseabubble, the closest I have come to ramping is my post that Rose could probably sell the Paradox asset for a multibag of the current sp. I base this on the CPR.

“On 22 June 2018, Rose announced a Competent Person's Report ("CPR") and Maiden Contingent Resource by Gaffney Cline & Associates ("GCA") on the Rose acreage covered by the 3D seismic, approximately 17,250 acres of the 80,000 acres held. The CPR estimated a 2C Contingent Resource, net to Rose, of 9.25 MMBbl of oil and 18.50 Bscf of gas, and an unrisked pre-tax Net Present Value (NPV10) on the 2C Resources, net to Rose, of US$122 million. The CPR focused solely on one single reservoir - the Cane Creek reservoir (the "CCR" or "Clastic 21") - of the multiple prospective reservoirs within the Paradox Formation.”

$122m NPV, net to Rose, on one, single reservoir, out of many. That is 50 times the current mcap. Just for one reservoir. Now, would I trust Idiens to sell it? Not for a nanosecond. David Sefton is a completely different proposition. Even if he just asset strips Rose, winds it up and returns capital to shareholders at one tenth of the value of just one reservoir, that would be a five bagger.

I hope he picks this up and runs with it, but even in a fire sale, I can make money from these levels.

No, not ramping at all. Simply pointing out that the mcap is more than fifty times lower than the CPR on a fraction of the total assets.

The sp truly deserved to be where it was, yesterday. Idiens has been useless and destroyed shareholder value and shareholder sentiment. Let’s see what the new bod can do with this.

Note that I am not saying that talented, experienced management, with an enviable track record in raising finance, WILL make a huge success of Rose- just that they MIGHT make a huge success of Rose, given the potential of the asset. Much the same as you think there can be another 100-1 consolidation.

I have no interest in other PIs buying. I bought an additional 1m at 1.2p this morning. Happy to let those sit with the rest of my holding. We should know within a few weeks as to who is nearer the mark. Who knows? You could be right and Rose may fold.
