My missus was the same as you. She refused to take the placing at 0.28p, because she had bought a shed load at 0.52p. I was blue in the face trying to get her to see sense, but it was a lost cause.

“Somebody got a much better deal than me, so I’m not taking a worse deal, even if it’s a great deal”.

We have the same discussion over items bought in a sale. She looks at her percentage discount, while I look at the price.

Carpe Diem!! I am going to clear another raised bed and plant out some beetroot. Bob, I’m taking a risk and planting out my sweetcorn! The average last frost here is supposed to be in the third week of March, so worth a punt, IMO. Worst thing that can happen, is that I have to do it again!

I remember all those appeals for milk bottle tops, used stamps etc. Like the church roof funds, they had a meter that they showed every week, with progress towards their goals. That was great for keeping the children positive and motivated.

We need one of those now, showing percentage completed v plan. Yes, plus a graph of same, over time!

Remember that warrant holders have been very aware of the exercise date, and may actually want to increase their percentage holdings.

I bought at 0.45p last week, which is an excellent price, warrants or no warrants.

I sowed Lemonade Basil and Sweet Basil on April 5th - always too early - both about an inch tall. What size do to get them to, before pricking out?

Never managed to get basil to grow properly!
