That was a plan at some point along this rocky road, but it never happened. I think the plan is to select ore-rich material, rough crush and truck to LP on a contract basis, then chuck the ore into the LP process.

TBH, I think you are imagining things.

I’m convinced that copper, tin and tungsten demand will outstrip supply, but I can’t see the necessary infrastructure being in place to service EVs.

Hydrogen is a much better option. No lithium or cobalt required, no trillions of miles of copper wire and no huge infrastructure changes. Just provide hydrogen fuel alongside petrol and diesel, then migrate petrol and diesel vehicles to hydrogen over time.
