GKP is a cash cow. No debt! Oil prices fluctuate all the time the political risk is what has held this back. Once resolved this is going up and up. Great long terms share to hold - milk the dividends in years to come!

I think you might find legacy management is where the problems started.

As long as IceCool is invested here there is hope. What a 🤡 that chap is. Always spoke about the future while a wise investor like Sidara are questioning and rightly so all of those contracts that Wood has been signing recently. My take is precisely this that Sidara have sniffed around recent contract wins and put them in to three piles:

1. Loss making before commencing

2. Break even at best

3. Small margin profit

The same management that has failed WG were involved in pricing up recent contracts and having done some good due diligence, Sidara’s due diligence team has stress tested future work and come up with their offer.

Based on today’s SP action, the market clearly doesn’t believe this deal is going through. Confidence in the board is completely gone, so why would anyone trust them now when they claim this is “the best deal”? It’s not. It’s arrogant, self-serving and reeks of boardroom self preservation.

This isn’t about getting SH value, it’s about protecting their own positions.

I fully expect activist investors to step in now, force a full board purge, and start reset discussions to bring in a clean, credible leadership team. That’s the only way forward imo.

Do you know what a P&L and Balance Sheet is? Because after reading so many of your posts one would think you know best how to run this company!

Saving grace would be for Apollo Global management to return with a better offer than Sidara. (4 x attempts previously 2023)

The fact remains Deloitte's work was needed for poorly managed contracts and contract accounting! Contract accounting is complex and requires good governance practices that WG lack. Refinancing debt and handing it over to this management team could end up in the same place in a few years time. The culture needs to change and will probably change with Sidara operating it going forward.

Hiring a CFO and then saying the CV was all fake begs questions about the HR Directors function yet the HR Director continues to be employed and the circus continues!!!

This company has delivered surprise after surprise for over a year. One more surprise of no deal will top it off. Not worth being invested in a company that keeps on giving nasties

@Shewillkillme - why would a company serious about a takeover wait until the final day to offer or extend?

What are the rules around extensions? Would seem odd that an extension is applied for on the same day the offer must go? in?

What does the dividend equate to per share?

If it causes so much misery being invested here not sure why some people invest here. It's usually short term investors looking for a quick buck.
