Craig, It'll test 241p shortly is my guess, provided nothing nasty comes out tomorrow on the Baker Hughes rig count after hours tomorrow... I'm in two minds on whether or not to take a small tranche, discount to future cash flow is good... but it's still making a loss is it not?

wow, so effectively a lot of the stolen items end up being paid for twice by the retailed. Once at cost price, second at retail. If the business is to survive there can't be a fear of whistle blowing on poor practice... they need to be encouraging everyone from the ground up to contribute with ideas on what's going wrong, and what solutions they think will work.

HH, I don't do any complicated trades like that. I just use support, resistance, and various moving averages and oscillators matched to the stock/fx pair/commodities usual behavior. At the moment due to family commitments I'm just looking for good buy and hold stocks when I get the time. Usually Large caps, occasional mid.

Yeah provided any debt SGL has is at sustainable levels the enlarged business with increase cash flow may allow a restructuring of lending with the banks. Hopefully that allows them to weather the low price of PGM's until they go up again.

As far as I'm aware, DBNO is actually holding Lonmin. He stated it was 25% of his portfolio yesterday, so if you're assuming he has an agenda and wants it to drop, I don't think that's the case. Regardless comments on here don't have the slightest effect on a company with a market cap of 234 Million... it will go up or down regardless of what is typed on here... only AIM stocks is there a little chance of affecting the price with comments.

Gladiator, I think what you say is possible, but I think it's highly unlikely. We went from a potential breach of banking covenants with the accountants needing to confirm whether or not that was the case, to a bidder coming in and buying Lonmin for £1 a share basically. There's been no further RNS confirming that the banking Covenants had not been breached. So obviously whilst I can't say for certain that they were breached, without the confirmation that they were not breached... it has to be at least taken as a possibility that they were. We don't know how well or not well Lonmin is doing because they delayed the publication of their results.Does anyone know when they are likely to be released? Does anyone know if there will ever be an RNS stating yes or no for the breaching of the banking covenants? I think it's unlikely that the board would have recommended the offer from Sibyane if as you suggested Lonmin was running around in any meaningful way operationally. It pretty clear their hands were tied. So it's my opinion, and only an opinion that the share price will only go significantly higher than £1 if there is a rival bid or SGL's share price goes up drastically. And yes both of those things are possible. I have no clue of how likely though. But Lonmin multi bagging before the offer goes through, only chance of that is a rival offer for 62% more than the LMI's share price at the time of typing this. Again off course that's possible.

TA-Trade, I said I had bought at 70.15p over 3 accounts. I then said on another post I had opened a £1k trade over a few accounts. I realise that came across as only £1000 split over 3 accounts. It was actually 3 trades at £1k with another two later on my wife's ISA and son Junior ISA. My wife and I and son have an ISA each, and both my wife and I have sipps... so 5 accounts in total. The other two I didn't declare on here so fair enough. But I don't get what the fuss is about anyway, £5k isn't a giant sum of money, it's not like I'm bragging saying I bought £500,000 worth or something haha But at no point have I ever said I opened a £1k trade on a spreadbet... If you're still going with that then provide a screenshot to prove it because it's not true. It's not like I declared multiple trades all the way down from the 150's into the 100's of thousands like yourself. Be honest, are you sitting on a big loss, or various losses with LMI and you've taken a dislike to me for pointing that out? There would be no tit for tat if you hadn't started it haha.

For the record, I hope I'm wrong and the SP does multi-bag like you say, there will be loads of people on here commenting and lurking who bought this all the way down from higher prices sitting on big losses.

Gladiator, No you called others with a different opinion from you muppets, I don't like interacting with you either, but when someone is out of line I won't back down. It's fine to have a difference of opinion,it's not fine to lord over people trying to completely rubbish their comments as if your own is the only one relevant. Yeah I admitted that I "could" be wrong about the share price not going over £1.... but there is only two ways I see that realistically happening. If SGL's share price goes rapidly higher before the acquisition is concluded, or a rival bid comes in. Good news is unlikely to increase the share price higher than £1, multi-bagging I think is was off the mark. It would take either a change of bid or a rival bid at a much higher price to do that. So... 1) SGL's share price goes quite rapidly higher. 2) A higher Rival bid. No one is going to be stupid enough to pay way over the offer price unless a new offer comes in. That's my opinion only, happy to be wrong if it makes others money. I'm not on your ignore list, nor do I care if I am... the best way to sort posts on here is thread view, and the ignore list doesn't work in thread view. Unless it's been improved recently.

Gladiator, You call people muppets saying they don't have a clue. Yet you seem to imply Lonmin is going to Multibag. There is an offer for £1 a share. Assuming this offer is accepted, when it goes through there won't be a Lonmin, you will just have SGL shares. SGL's market cap is $34.27 Billion. Multibagger means gives a return over 100%... are you suggesting that with the addition of Lonmin that in it;s hayday was worth £2 Billion as you say.... you think that is going to cause SGL to Multibag... so have a market cap of of over $68.54 Billion? Or are you missleading people by saying Lonmin will multibag? It can't multibag if it's shares no longer exist after the deal has gone through at equivelant £1 or there abouts.

I agree with that, although not sure about a bidding war. A share only offer doesn't smack of desperation to acquire Lonmin. It looks like the BOD has gotten out of jail free like you say, and Sibyane are getting those assets with no money down. It's win/win... but if another bidder came in with say a monetary offer... Sibyane might not bid aggressively.

It's never made an offer for a company thay failed to release it's results due to possible banking covenant breach either. Never say never. Clearly a lot of Sibanye shareholders are not happy about buying a company that failed to release it's financials due to the above.
