Today, Thursday, July 18, 2024, at the Presidency of Council of Ministers, we welcomed a delegation of oil investment companies comprised of John Harris, general manager of Golf Kiston, Tofiq Shahin, Chairman of Kristinf Company, Matt Zais, deputy chief of HKN company, Srud Mukhtar general manager of HKN in Iraq.

▪️In the meeting, the questions of further development of the joint relations between the regional government, the oil companies and the activities of the oil farms and the energy sector were exchanged.

▪️In the meeting, they talked about the discussion and development of the relations between the regional government and Baghdad, the question of resuming the oil export of the region and the process of finding a mechanism to resolve the issue, they were discussed, both sides agreed on the continuing negotiations between the Kurdistan Regional Government and Baghda to reach a solution in the constitution. The support of the Kurdistan Region government for solving the issues that have come forward has been confirmed.

Don't know why that's a shooting the messenger issue, SOMO have been an option since the start, and legitimised contracts will do wonders for the SP, or even attract outside interests in GKP. Appreciate there's a big gap on terms yet and as I'm only a latecomer here happy to be contradicted!
