Onderzoekers Radboudumc vinden defect gen dat corona verergert - https://nos.nl/l/2341733
Hope u can open the link and mayb use Google translate. But interesting fact: to summarize: they found that young People who get severely ill have a mutation / missing gene which influences the release of interferons -> cytokinr etc etc. So they say interferon is the way
Small correction: there could be a role for patients with known lung diseases but tbh this is nothing new. We always prescribe corticosteroids in those patients. It would be an interesting fact if the groups will be healthy persons with only covid 19 infection (and the corticoids are protecting them). That has never been seen before as u quoted from uptodate, to make it worse, that usually worsens the patient.
Youre welcome, i was reading this forum for quite some months already and now seemed about right to give my opinion. Probably lots of u already know about the articles etc but still! U normally cant see the whole site (uptodate) because u need to be a doctor / medical biz and pay. But the corona file is made public. Do remember that the quotes u just quoted are based on facts untill today. So yeah this is what i believed and followed in my line of work untill today, now we wait what they say about dexametasone but as i said. The most logical thing would be that is would be a last resort, after for example interferons do not do the trick. (Thats also me hoping a little bit). But nebelizers etc, we only prescribe them when its an exacerbation of astma or copd but not with an pneunomia well usually not. Maybe this would change as well but that would be weird after all these years no? Ah well ive read and learned stranger things. I still believe that interferons will have a role as well and mayb a big one. And at this point faron is not commercialized yet. If clevegen or traumakine is keept by faron, daughter runs the company after dad. Finnish gov backing the company. I dont know maybe im connecting too much dots. Please correct me if im wrong.
Have a good day all
Im reading my guidelines again. Not sure if you guys are familliair with the website uptodate.com
Its a database which kind of summarizes all articles written about for example covid 19. Also it gives recommendations. Until today it was our guideline not to administer glucocortoids to patients with cov 19, we were actually frown upon if we did administer already.
These medicines were only reserved for critically ill late stadium ARDS. So i really wonder how the setup of this Recovery trial was. Cant imagine they did administer the glucocortoids at a early stage which they are claiming now since this was against WHO guidelines. On the other hand the Recovery trial was not a WHO study, so mayb they did not agree with the level of evidence against the corticoids. Still from a medical point of view its quite interesting how this works, but im really curious how they really tested this. Since years and years of ards trials did not find good cures, dexametasone is also on the market years and years. This is odd.
Also i saw some numbers involved which were quite a coincidence mayb ill get back to this later.
Just to be said im very sceptic about this sudden release of evidence without a good article to back it up. Especially after working in the field the last couple of months this feels like the other way around.
But hej im always curious and willing to learn, but very very sceptic. For the sake of medicine prove me wrong, for my hopes on faron pls dont.
This is from the recocery trial in which lopi rita was included but without interferon. Its interesting medical wise how this does work now and was frown upon before. So yeah prob what i said earlier. This does not mean there is no room for interferon though. Just depends what our results are. Wait and see
My main conclusion on this one, traumakine is taken seriously (i did read this already ofc) and now they need a second article to back up on the positive results. Harvard is not a bad one to do this.
Next to this: traumakine is back on track for the treatment of ards, corona was just another virus that happend. It wont be the last, yearly influenza and new virusses in future. The world population is not shrinking yet so.. youll get the point.
This is usually how things go. To be fair it goes quite fast with traumakine atm, due corona.
This to be said... ards is a very very difficult proces which is hard to treat. Hence no real medicine has been found yet. Multiple processes are in trouble at the same moment. You have to find the right switch and i think 3-4 switches..
Its all looking hopefull but bear in mind that its a difficult disease, but not only corona mediated. Anyhow, ill retreat to my basket again. Enough said, lets wait for the facts.
Its dexametasone, i believe prednisolon was the one tested with traumakine if i remember correctly from the articles i read. But yes both are corticosteroids. Its interesting that this is being claimed, yet no article is written. Certainly since other articles are against the use of corticosteroids (we still maintain this statement in hospitals). So it could be that dexametason has just a slightly different pathway. This could also mean that it doesnt interfere with traumakine like medication. Another possibility is that the opponents are stirring things up. This is just me thinking out loud.
Traumakine and clevegen updates are on the agenda. Lets hope they will be the positive part of the agenda. All the arrows are pointed in the right direction imo. Goodluck to all. Also this would be great news for the medical world (which im currently working in). Clevegen was the medicine that got me in Faron, Traumakine could be a present in stressful times.
Also champagne could be a nice stress reliever, lets hope for the best ;)
Yeah the main message is about clevegen;possibly turning cancer into an chronic disease (main reason for me buying into this stock tbh, now with traumakine... double the fun and hopes! Would be great for the medical world.)
All looking very nice. Again confirming we are in international studies; traumakine worldwide and for clevegen hopefully expanding through EU and US. Next to this the balance sheet is healthy. Good evening to all.
