Reading that article leads to the inevitable conclusion that to keep the Chinese happy a Chinese company has to be one of the four.So are Reuters correct.Hope so but not long to wait to find out.

Interesting news of course but if correct strange thatDe Beers are one of the 4 if they are indeed not interested unless it is hoped to tempt them to get them involved

Hi RL. As ever thanks for your valued analysis.Clearly the best deals are likely to come at a higher price of nickel but is there necessarily going to be much of a price rebound in the short term.? Not according to TDT on the AMC board who cites the aggressive approach of the Chinese in Indonesia as being likely to increase production to an extent that will suppress the price of nickel for some time to come.Sincerely hope that he is wrong.

Figures look good to me but wonder what you think of them Redlee,assuming you post on this board as well as on that of AMC
(For those unfamiliar with Redlee he is one of the two most respected and knowledgeable posters on the AMC board and has been very positive about HZM )

Lack of market reaction to the interview illustrates how fickle the markets are at present.No effect on the Botswana sp either and I see that their shareholders are suffering even more than us.sp down 50% in 3 months

We can certainly dare to dream but it would be a shame if this develops into a wave of expectation which if it does not come to fruition leads to a negative impact on the sp.Truth of the matter is that we are well placed to exploit the diamond potential even if we are not of the 4 which I personally suspect is the likely outcome as we are such a small Company

Well I suppose that one is that the much maligned June fund raise is now looking a good move in that raising the money on the back of 2 dusters would have been more difficult and if carried out at the current sp level highly dilutive

So short term object to maintain our strong financial position. Good to hear that it is strong but wonder exactly what it is and how it is to be maintained.Watch this space with inevitable concern as to the mechanics of any fund raise I suppose.

Hi GB33 I agree they seem to be waiting but if they are not content,are you saying that their aggression would be by way of more conversions ?Surely the more aggressive play would be to wait the 12 months and call in the balance owing to them,which I am sure will include the1m to which you refer because AMC will not have made any cash repayments

RL It has been so many months since we were advised that the milestones relevant to tranche 2 had not been met and negotiations were underway that it is difficult not to conclude that either Riverfort insist on the PFS or simply the outcome is"no deal" If the latter what does RL propose I wonder.As RL says we need clarity

Something different which is positive would be good but what could it be.Something different and negative could be they have given up on AMC and simply want the balance of their loan repaying plus interest etc at the end of the 12 month period .I hasten to add that l am not advocating this proposition but merely speculating as to possible motives.

Negative view is that if it benefits them to convert at a lower price they may be anticipating a price drop eg if further fund raise using Riverfort again is about to be finalised,which will see the sp fall again

Those following AMC will know that Redlee is one of the most knowledgable and respected posters who strongly favours HZM.Much discussion about the merits of HZM compared with AMC. Conclusion of RL is that HZM will get the finance required and that the current sp "is a steal" lgnore that conclusion at your peril and as to 1p l say utter rubbish

Yes they have-Lombard-still with about 50m to sell .But for them the sp would be much higher

Fortunately our other institutional investors appear to be holding firm.Largest is Teck and I see from their 3rd quarter results ,released on the 24th that they have nearly 2 billion in cash.They do not currently hold themselves out as nickel miners but might they like to diversify?.As the largest shareholder they are in pole position

Use of the words "material findings" suggests it will not be the full BFS but hopefully enough to excite the markets
