Should we not already have had $85M funding ready for the 5% we offered to buy from NCM? It's been said several times on this BB we would not have offered the $85m if we did not have it.

Never good but it was always a possibility. Stops the rumours and hopefully puts a base on the SP. Shame it was not offered to PIs as I think many would have taken the opportunity to average down. Probability is it will fall to placing value anyway

If we do not have to pay the loan until we go into production does that not mean if we don't mine we don't need to pay NCM anything? Therefore no production no loan payment and no default. If we have to repay the loan then we must be in production so happy days. Just the small issue of the $73m to sort now but if SD was offering $85m for the 5% share which would have been on top of the $73m to get us to production I hope he has $153m stashed somewhere as this is what would have been needed to fund both.

I am currently well down on my investment here and I am sure many others are as well. As the goal of the exercise is to make money I would say you have achieved your goal

Perhaps it is best that the SP remains low until the buyback is complete. If the SP remains low does that not mean that the buyback purchases more shares which in the long term reduces the number of shares in circulation? Would we not benefit from this long term?

Important Information & Other Key Dates:
Evraz plc has announced that Computershare Investor Services will cease to act as the company's registrar with effect from 19th August 2022. This means a termination of the registry and associated services that they provide to Evraz. The shareholder register will then be maintained by Evraz.
Evraz is currently suspended from trading on the London Stock Exchange. We will notify you if we receive any further information from the company.
A share certificate can be requested, however please note that a share certificate withdrawal fee of £25 is payable. ISA holders should be aware if you request a share certificate, the shares will no longer be held in the ISA tax efficient wrapper. A share certificate is not available for SIPP holders.
All requests for certificate withdrawals will be handled on a best endeavours basis. If you do decide to request a share certificate, you will need to call us by 5pm on 10th August 2022 at the latest.

onthebottomrung I really have no idea. I assume if just me and the 15 tick ups then probably nothing but if we got say 1000 of us to do it then perhaps a positive affect on the SP. I don't know enough about shorting to know if it would have an affect on them.
