Yes it was when Colin was on Sky
Whilst the conflict continues I think we are better off suspended. It stops any volatility. Once a cease fire comes we can come out of suspension, hopefully at a much higher price. Everyone is a winner. Except the shorters of course
Pearls words of wisdom. Wish all the do gooders would stop saying money tied up for years......
Many invested here are happy to keep the money in EVR for years. It pays great dividends and is a sound business. I think perhaps the "do gooders" are the ones annoyed as they have put money in looking for a quick buck and now they are suspended in a share they did not want for the long term. Happy to be suspended. The war will end and things will return to normal or the war will escalate, probably turn nuclear, in which case suspension and SP will become irrelevant. Keep Well and enjoy your day.
Nobody was after your sympathy. 6 months in fine, give it 12. Suspension gives it stability. When the war ends, and it will, suspension can be lifted when we are in a calmer market. A lot of investors are here for the long term anyway. Hopefully back to the £6.00 mark in a year or two. Enjoy your day and Keep Well.
Good choice Les in my opinion. Lost my dad and Mum to cancer. Someone said to me
Grandfather dies, Father dies, Son dies .... everybody happy. Seemed strange at the time but I now have 3 boys of my own. Makes sense. You never want to go before your children and as I a "child" part of life is losing your parents.
Thoughts are with you. Some times you just can't sugar coat a ****. Having been the child with the parent dying of cancer I am sure they will deal with it and give you a great deal of support. Keep Well
Wow this is a spirited debate. Let's throw this in the mix. Realistically the Russians don't need more nuclear armoury. They have enough nuclear bombs to blow everyone up several times. Ukraine on the other hand have none. So perhaps the Russians want the nuclear power stations out of Ukrainian hands. If I were president of The Ukraine I would be feeling a bit miffed right now. Russia are illegally invading my country and NATO won't get involved militarily. So at some stage perhaps I would call Russians bluff and say if you want a nuclear war that's fine, we can start one with our power stations. It will destroy Ukraine, but the Russians are destroying it anyway so let's take Russia with us. NATO, you won't help us because you so frightened that Russia will start a nuclear war so if you won't help militarily and you will stand by and watch The Ukraine destroyed, fine I will take you with me. Perhaps the nuclear power stations are best "guarded" by the Russians as they don't need them for a nuclear war.
"Biden exact words yesterday at state of the union"Putin doesn't know what's on store for him"
At the moment Biden is stoking the fire which is not helpful. He is talking about China and Taiwan as well. Certainly no fan of Putin and what he is doing is disgusting but Biden fanning the flames is not helpful. Perhaps better if he goes about the business quietly and carefully. Madmen come in many different guises and if he carries on the SP here and anywhere else may become irrelevant. The Russians and the Ukrainians have agreed to talk again tonight, lets see what they come up with
I had a buy order at 77p still saying on Lloyds it's being executed. Perhaps taken down into the 60s for stop losses and the "special ones" to purchase. **** or bust but at this price what could possibly go wrong. GLA and Keep Well
I think Russia needs to get rid of Putin. If the West do it he will become a martyr and someone similar will take his place. In the long run the younger Russians who are not so indoctrinated will over come the totalitarian regime. This is the beginning of the end for Putin. Russians will over throw him.
