Roland has a meeting about CCS and everyone starts losing their minds and all of a sudden we have a forward sold placing.

Presentation was regarding CCS - that's not what the GOI is due to approve. Totally unrelated.

Briana has confirmed this morning that Roland landed in India last night.

CEO flies to India today for meetings with our JV partner and regulator. Very likely GOI approval comes this week. Most recent Comms from our CEO "suffice to say, expect an announcement soon"

Once Syn/Selan are producing in Cambay, how do the sales of the gas and condensate work? Does Selan already have an offtake agreement in place? I would assume Selan will be in control of that side of things and share the revenue/profit 50/50 with Syn?

I still find Monday very interesting. Clearly Roland flying to India on this date (my Birthday!) has been chosen for a specific reason. Maybe it was the date with the cheapest flights. Maybe it was chosen to give SYN enough time to guarantee approval beforehand. Maybe they have timed it to coincide with the approval.

But I cannot see why Roland would fly out to India and then fly back to the UK with the approval situation having not progressed. So surely, SURELY, we see approval in the next 7-10 days.

I agree. I think general consensus now is that nothing happens until 8th July and beyond. But that's a dangerous game to play - if you believe that the usage of the word "imminent" is key, then I would personally expect the GOI approval before RW goes to India.

I also hope that the 8th July visit is post-approval.

Quite possible the 8th July has been picked to hold the SP steady off the back of JV approval - after all, you'd think there would be some element of news or an update to come off the back of it.

I agree. Usage of the word imminent is very specific. "Near future" and "soon" are much more vague and open to interpretation. We all know Roland has a history of missing deadlines, but personally I think that if this isn't done by the end of June, he's asking for criticism.

What is this obsession with Roland going to India all about?

Well, very recent Comms from Roland have used very specific wording that I HOPE means we truly do have only a short while longer to wait.

Looking at the Selan presentation, it appears to be a much more complex matter than our JV approval.

Roland has always said the work plan would start immediately after GOI approval was gained, and they've held meetings with Selan to expedite the same.

Selan just held a meeting with a ton of II's and analysts. The meeting was booked in the 6th (post election) for between 3.30-5.30pm local time today (11th)

Could the timing be significant? I wonder what Selan were trying to push to the IIs and analysts.

Expectation is for Synergia to have a revenue of $60m and a PBT of $40m for FY2025.
