I showed some of the posts to my niece's & nephews the other day. We were discussing online bullying and online pretending, you know the types. Nothing wrong with taxation. But just on income. Politicians love to think of new taxes, they love to discourage / encourage behavious via taxation which is basically social engineering. I think we'd all agree they are useless at spending money. On the one side money is siphoned off and on the other side vanity projects. They rarely spend money on the people and new progressive people projects. I say that, thats not so much in my country but is a thing in yours.

Taxing 2nd homes is just silly, pointless and probably costs more than it retrieves. Home owners already pay taxes on all their properties through, stamp duty when they buy, CGT when they sell a 2nd home. And taxes if they let those properties.

There's too much taxation and very little representation of the people. Where have i heard that before.
