Indeed 164p is very low for BT. Over the years, this has been a shocking buy. I was lucky to get in around 110p but have flogged them now. Never going to get rich with this share.

ASOS own brand full-price sales returned to growth in the first half which is good news. The credit insurers reinstating their cover a month or so ago showed the turnaround was working. Overstocking as much as they did was crazy and that's really what hurt Asos the most.

Be interesting where Boohoo are in relation to Asos. I may dip my toe in here as sold some BT shares after making a nice profit. Boohoo feel more of a riskier proposition, but worth a punt at these prices.

That is the main question indeed. At least the panicking can stop now, all I was seeing on here was "rights issue", "rns needed" etc. So we know results are ok, not great, but better than the expected fairly low expectations. But the sp should be much higher. When it was £4, we didn't know that results were going to be better than expected so this should be back up to above that price. But who knows.

Might as well not make an offer then. £5 is not going to be accepted unless there is some hostile, orchestrated takeover. Sceptical anything will materialise, however it is interesting it's made the press.

Pearls, complete overreaction. People love pretending things are better than they are when the economy is apparently thriving and like now when the economy is apparently in turmoil.

I'm a bit old now seeing I'm in my 30's but I'd hardly say all young people are losing their jobs.

Plenty of disposable income to go to the pub, buy fresh clobber etc. This is Asos specific, the stock pile of stuff was just ridiculous and they have had to flog on the cheap. Pairs of jeans going for £3 and stuff like that. Definitely made a loss on a lot of items and it's damaged the company. Now we need to see if they have been able to sort out the mess.

But again, this is down to poor management on Asos' part, plenty of people out there spending their cash.

Couldn't view it all the Bloomberg article as it's behind a paywall. Will be the usual nonsense though, suddenly 200p is a target for absolutely no reason. I remember a peice on the AA in The Times randomly stating 5 pence a share was fair value. They eventually got taken out on the cheap for 35 pence which was a terrible, but obviously a lot more than 5 pence.

Expect more nonsense articles giving random low target prices but we can't get away from the fact that this has been decimated. Results will be in April so will be interesting how they have done.

Yeah, turnaround needed this year. If this is heading into 2026 with doubts over repaying those bonds, things will be starting to get serious. Unless something crazy has happened though, I think they are on track. Medium term guidance reiterated and obviously the credit insurers. They wouldn't have reinstated cover if they didn't have confidence in Asos' financial stability.

Yeah, Topshop and Miss Selfridge for £330m, though that included stock. £265m for the brands and the current market cap is about £290m.

Slim to no chance of a bid.

And what would the offer be? 500p? Could pretend that's a fantastic offer as it's double the share price, when in all honesty that would be considerably undervaluing the business.

Unless those refinancing risks become such a burden that Asos really does fall victim to a hostile takeover.

No, don't sell at these prices 🤣. Same price as December 2008 when there was a recession. Everyone needs to chill a bit, I appreciate it's not great seeing this share price but think about the bigger picture.

Investor relations probably getting inundated now. Just checked in with them a message saying "This inbox is monitored weekly and accordingly, you may experience a short delay in our response."

Don't think I got that last time. Emily will have thousands of emails if she checks it weekly. Going to be boring for her sending the same cut and paste email each time.
