@tapman are you invested in Alba ? Just asking as you seem to be very negative about them , so if you are not I’m wondering why you even come on this page ? Or are you invested and just fed up of the lack of movement?

As someone that has no idea what I’m doing and only invested ( at the high back in December 2020) because I live close to the gold mine and seem to like to waste my money 🤣 have thankfully averaged down a hell of a lot now . I got lucky yesterday and made a few hundred on a daft share so put it in here yesterday as a top up , not a great deal but every share counts :) I have an odd number of shares now so may need to round it off :)

I’m wanting to move mine into the isa too , I hold enough shares that with a bit more of an increase in SP I will hit the gains tax bracket when I sell , I’m thinking of selling in small blocks and transferring the cash to the isa ( in on 212 so not the best platform) hopefully sell high abs re buy in the dips to keep the same amount of shares if not possibly gain a few , it’s just risky and may lose a few but not too many to really do any damage

Just had a message paying me for the shares I held and not transferred to helium

I’ve been on to them a few times and was told last time they will announce soon !!! What ever that means , Aston matin shares got split 20-1 today and sorted instantly, surely this is the same and a transfer of names ??

Hopefully with these late buys we will see a return to maybe where we were yesterday??

When I messaged asking when it will be swapped to helium 1 they said my shares will be sold and account credited, I said I didn’t want to sell just transfer, then they said they will let me know an update soon

Will never make enough to buy a house but maybe enough for a good deposit which will help massively, I’ve made the mistake of selling 2 shares too early Tesla and biocryst pharmaceuticals both of which would have given me the best part of 5x my money , however if I’d have kept them longer I would never have got into ggp which had the potential to make a hell of a lot more , I’ve also got 2 of my mates into the share as they have listened to me bang on about this so really need it to do well for them too ??

Fingers crossed , I’ll take a 32p finish to the end of the week though :) then in a month or so a few pence raise and just keep following the trend like the last 6/7 months

Thanks for the reply , my stop is just above my average price so fingers crossed it never gets that low again , if it does then I still have profit and consider a reinvestment and run depending on why it would drop so low

I just wanted to post a thank you to all those that post great information for newbies like myself .
I only got into investing after I had a nice win on the horses just as covid was having a massive effect on the country and instead of just blowing the money I decided to throw a few quid into Tesla , two weeks later I sold for 50% profit , was gutted to see what it went up to before the split ??, but nether the less I made money , I then started looking at oil and invested some into that , and what was left I was looking for other options like gold .. I somehow managed to find GGP - I had no idea what I was doing but knew oil was cheap and can’t go much wrong with gold, I started typing greatland gold news / share chat / prices etc into goggle and found this site , now many of you may say you shouldn’t invest unless you know what your doing - but I’ve always been a gambler , so upon reading lots of posts here and seeing how the likes of Paddy’s post are so well received I though F##k it and had a few quid on it .. my original price was 7p then bought more which took me to 9p , on Friday I decided to go all in and empty my help to buy ISA ( which wasn’t a lot ) and risk it here . I’m already 225% but I figured if this only ever hit 40p I’ve covered what my isa was paying , I have no intention of selling until this gets 80 -100p then I will only sell 50% to pay off depts , they rear will then start to build a nice house deposit in the next few years ...... Anyway I’ve rambled , I just wanted to say thank you to all those positive posters and knowledgeable people that have help me get where I am now . ( and just so you know I have a stop loss so will never lose what I have invested )
