Completely pointless RNS. SW trying to claw back the loss of confidence after yesterday’s RNS. We made a huge amount of money, which should have either been invested in the exploration projects we have or returned to shareholders. Instead he puts it on the roulette wheel and, after investors saw that for what it was, he released this to save face.

I am hoping it doesn't, being one of Ocado's suffering shareholders. I've just been scouring the internet for a reason for today's big fall and this is what I found.

The media is full of 2 big issues hitting British retailers: The increased cost of staff and the shoplifting epidemic. Ocado is far less affected by the first and shouldn't be at all affected by the second.

The US copper price won't have a huge effect on Kounrad. Copper is sold in Asia.

Kinterra has just done us the biggest favour I have ever seen. Taken an overpriced asset out of our pipeline and made us millions in the process.

If they find something, Aberdeen minerals will be good. With the current government forcing a premature end to fossil fuels extraction in Scotland, they would surely encourage the extraction of minerals needed for a net zero economy. A UK mine also presents close to zero political risk, which is a lot more than can be said for Kazakhstan or North Macedonia.

I wonder when the Aberdeen minerals drilling results will be in. If they promising, we should take our profit from this circus and invest it there.

People are acting like we’ve lost everything. At the beginning of the year we had a very profitable copper operation and a smaller, steadily producing mine. Now we have a very profitable copper operation, a mine thats making a little less than it did before and a big prospect in the pipeline. If we lose this prospect, we will make a few million pounds in the sale of shares we hold. We also have 2 exploration companies. Where’s the reason for a 20% drop?

By far the worlds biggest importer and consumer of copper is China. Next is India. USA is the third largest consumer, but produces a lot of its own, so is not the worlds third largest importer. Here is a table I found online.

Unless something significant has happened since 2023, these tariffs are a non event for international producers, but very valuable for US based ones.

Gold has been at record highs this year and all they did was dug themselves into deeper and deeper holes. I thankfully bailed out with a 50% loss. Yes, I lost half my money, but am still better off than I would have been. I would be sitting on a much bigger loss before the shares were suspended and possibly a total loss if they can't pull off some miracle.

To quote an old adage "Knowing when to sell is just as important as knowing when to buy".

If we are outbid, we should make a few million off the shares we own. Plenty more opportunities out there.

Ocado is still the fastest growing retailer in the UK. Their robotics might be sought by other retailers as the national insurance increase and minimum wage creeps up. I think it's increasingly becoming a takeover target.

We entering the last month of H1 and copper has been healthily above $10k a ton for most of the half. Now it is nearing $11000 a ton. Life of the company will be greatly extended by US mine.Looking forward to seeing what H1 results bring!

Share price hit £1.70 this morning. Now it's back below £1.60. Hopefully just profit taking by those looking to get out.

With gold higher than anyone could have ever imagined, it would take a true moron to F-up a dedicated gold mining company now. If Stephen Birrell can't turn things around, it will surely ruin his reputation and stop him from ever running a company again.

A couple of weeks ago we were ready to call time of death. The share price reflected it. Now gold is at record highs with no sign of slowing down and interest rates look to come down, I think it's about to spring back to life.
