Well, Mikey, its a simple but powerful way of comparing value across oillie plays. Consider the ratio of two amounts - The oil reserves (proved and probable - P2) - The enterprise value (mkt cap plus net debt) EV/P2 then gives a rough and ready estimate of the value that the market is giving to the value of the oil or equivalent that the company has at P2 level so ignoring the more speculative resources

Agreed, GG I am v comfortable with the management (and the alignment of ownership and management) in both, Peacock (RGS) & the Dewhursts - but that comfort may be misleading - & I particularly like the RGS markets (weakness in Dewhurst's is to be expected, and I think the outlook is sensibly conservative but who knows?) I can empathise with your caution about entering at these levels atb & have a great w/e Jolly cold

I have (like most, I expect) misgivings about governance... and plain ignorance about management and markets...but the cash on b/s and eye-wateringly low multiples have forced by twitchy mouse finger (twice! I've even topped up) atb & have a great w/e Jolly

Mikey/Canmore I am really baffled (to use a word bandied around nowadays) by the EV/P2 here - cUS$1/boe....have I got that completely wrong? &, if not, why does cheap P2 not support the sp? atb Jolly puzzled

not one for me...even me! There is private investor (?Roy Mitchell) that I think is still in (according to Barclays site this am) that I keep a tenth of an eye on...but that is not enough to get me to twitch the mouse (the apparent spread doesn't help either!!)
