Matt Cooper
Chairman
Matt Cooper was one of the founders of Capital One which is now the fifth largest bank in the US. He currently holds several board-level positions with companies in both the corporate and not-for-profit sectors. Current directorships include Chairman of Octopus Capital plc, Chairman of ClearySo plc and Executive Chairman of Imaginatik plc as well as Non-Executive Director at Which? Financial Services.
Brian Cole
Chief Executive Officer
Brian has over 19 years’ experience in the financial services sector, starting his career at First Union Financial Corporation in the US. He subsequently joined Capital One Financial Corporation, serving in various executive roles before moving to the UK where he was Chief Executive from 2009 to 2013. In this role, Brian led a credit card business with a $750 million turnover, 2.5 million customer relationships and over 1,000 employees.
Jeremy Coombes
Executive Officer
Jeremy has 20 years' experience in operational and underwriting roles, and as a director at the Bibby Group of Factors. He has held positions in the factoring, invoice discounting and international departments of HSBC Invoice Finance and NMB-Heller. His roles have included auditor and Senior Client Manager looking after 50 key accounts with active funds of around £15 million. He is responsible for Inspired’s operating strategy and risk control.
Mr Pierre Decote has been appointed to the senior management team as Director of Marketing and Credit. Pierre started in his new role on 3 November 2014
Pierre joins Inspired Capital from Barclaycard, one of the largest credit card portfolios in Europe and one of the top 10 global payment acquirers. Over five years at Barclaycard, Pierre held several positions, including Wholesale Risk Director and Chief Risk Officer International Consumer portfolios;
Most recently Pierre was Director, Strategic Analytics for Business Solutions, leading Barclaycard's global strategic analytics team across four business divisions: Payment Acceptance, Commercial Payments, Point of Sale Loans and SME Lending.
From 1999 to 2009 Pierre held various roles at Capital One France and Capital One UK. He is a French national bilingual in English, with a Business and Finance degree from Bordeaux Business School.
