The interim divi later in the year might stay the same at 3.6p and maybe they will cut the final down next year to around 6.4p

I understand what you are saying but I was talking about the share price now. Obviously it doesn't help any holders with an average above 2 or 3 pounds but it is looking like a a reasonably good buy at 122p. Even if after the next final divi the full payment got cut in half it would still be 5% but I think a divi drop from 12p to 6p is unlikely

Do you honestly think that the SP is going to be lower than current price of 122p by ex-dividend date of 9th May ? I will have a guess at 140p by then.
Down 20% you suggesting a £1 share price with a final divi of 8.4p

We will have to wait till 30th July half year results to see what will happen to 2019 Dividend. But for now we know we will get 8.4p as a final for 2018 making a total of 12p.

should be back to mid 130's in a week or so. Then leading up to ex-dividend date it might make 140+.
I am so happy I sold some on Tuesday above 139p and bought them all plus more back today.

You mentioned elderly and or disabled and housebound people. Who protects them from these companies that charge rediculous prices for stairlifts / mobility scooters and any of the other ability aids ? I actually know of a couple of dodgy car dealers that got out of car dealing and set up a business selling all the above items because the profits are huge. Got to any of the shops and price up a stair lift or scooter and then look how much cheaper it can be bought for online. Who protects the customers in this situation ?

I understand your point. But where does this cap apply to anything else ? These same people that you talk about still need to buy things like home insurance. Who stops them been over charged ? I now pay about £160 for a policy that covers the same as I was paying over £300 for over 5 years ago, at that time I didn't shop around I just let it auto renew each year and it always went up. Chances are that many of these people have had a home insurance policy with the same company for many years, each year it will go up for sure. Who is jumping on the insurance companies ? no one.

The energy customer can choose from many suppliers and the choose from many deals. Why does Ofgem have to step in and and help stupid people that CHOOSE a bad deal. Is there any cap on mobile phone tarriffs ? is their any cap on House phone and TV packages ? Is there any cap on 2kg of Maris piper potatoes ?

The higher cap should help a bit. Why do people stay on a svt anyway ? They are choosing to pay more and are at risk of prices going up. When did they last come down ? These people are adults I can't see what the energy companies are doing wrong. They off many types of deals. The customer chooses a deal.
