I don't think you can transfer shares from a normal account into a ISA account. I think you have to sell those shares and then buy them in the ISA. Imagine if you had 20,000 shares that you bought at 10p and now worth £1 each shares, do you think the tax man would allow you to transfer the 20,000 shares to your ISA and forget about the £18000 profit ?

Well for those like me that chose to hold onto the shares today we will receive our Dividends on the 12th July and I think by then we will see a higher share price. Half year results 31st July

Ex-Dividend day is Forecast to be 17th October and yes there will be a special Divi, special and final are same date

So when sp was 165.8p on Thursday TomE said he expected a rise upto the ex-dividend day. Now the price was 165.8p when he posted, do you or do you not expect the sp to be higher at that time ?. I'm not sure how long TomE has been in these shares but I have been in since 2014. Done lots of buys and sells and collected many thousands in dividends.

The Logic is because that is what normally happens. SP rise towards their dividend dates especially if it's a big one.
