Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
I am always grateful to Savvy and Peak, and sincerely, all the others who contribute regularly here, for their insight, research and their gentlemanly approach. Something, for me, came together recently reading their pieces. I recently watched the brilliant ‘lost’ interview of Steve Jobs by Robert Cringely. (I would urge anyone to watch, what I believe is a truly inspirational interview of an artist, https://allaboutstevejobs.com/videos/misc/triumph_of_the_nerds_interview_1995
Bearing in mind this was 1995, he says “As you know, about 15% of the goods and services in the US are sold via catalogs over the television. All that's going to go on the web and more. Billions and billions, soon tens of billions of dollars worth of goods and services are going to be sold on the web.” Those years spent in prep school were not entirely wasted, Saturday morning Latin and Greek study helped me to later see the 'Music of the Spheres', that Pythagoras and his followers thought that celestial bodies made music, harmony, that there was physical and poetic order of the universe. Pythagoras was known for saying, “There is geometry in the humming of the strings, there is music in the spacing of the spheres.”
Reading the detail and descriptions of AZ’s vision here I am reminded of Crigely’s question to Jobs, was he a Hippie or a Nerd. He said in the early days of Apple everyone he worked with was a hippie. “There's another side of the coin that we don't talk about much. And - and we experience it when there's gaps, when we kind of just aren't really, when everything's not ordered and perfect. When there's kind of a gap, you experience this inrush of something. And a lot of people have sought off throughout history, to find out what that was. You know, whether it's Thoreau, or whether it's, you know, some Indian mystics or whoever it might be. And the hippie movement got a little bit of that, and they wanted to find out what that was about. And that life wasn't about what they saw their parents doing. And of course the pendulum swung too far the other way, and it was crazy, but there was a germ of something there.” He said it was the same thing that made people want to be poets instead of bankers.
I think AZ is a hippie. You only have to look at his hair! I think he is a poet with a vision and you can see the music and that ‘other’ thing in the germ of his ideas. He wants, not just another fintech solution, he’s not interested in just the money, he wants the poetry in the system.
If AZ is 10% of the genius of Jobs then we are all going to be very very rich.
Reply from HL this morning re query on timing for relisting;
Thank you for your message.
Our Corporate Actions Team has only recently received all the details of the possible re-listing of Iconic Labs. They have confirmed that a number of objectives need to be met before the company can relist. This includes paying off a debt to the London Stock Exchange Group plc (which they plan to pay off by the end of January 2023)
'The cash contributions, and the viability and success of the CVA, are totally dependent on the LSE and the FCA agreeing to re-list the Company’s shares for trading, all of whom are unlikely to agree unless agreement has been reached to settle the existing debt due to the LSE in full.'
Nobby...you never heard of "Termes et conditions du scrabble international" then?....Vol 6, Section 2, sub section (i) para 4 states quite clearly "...not allowed to use the same letter twice". tsk tsk oh and so somebody bought 350,000,000 wow..somebody really confident this is going to be a world class company.
Nobbygnome..I would be genuinely interested to know the thinking behind this….Your post at 16.41pm “The 50 mill sell post market is a very revealing trade and the LTHs would do well to take note of it…”.
Just wondering therefore why you would not think the £365,000,000 buy at 14.12pm is not therefore revealing for LTH’s?
I am sure your answer will be as erudite as usual.
Did you know by the way that an anagram of your nom de plume is Bogymen?
Banco BPM is Italy's third-largest listed banking group in terms of total assets, net loans to customers, direct and indirect deposits, and number of branches; thus, it is a major player in the Italian banking scene. To lend a million they will have done their DD. Ringing endorsement. Just bought another half million. At this price it would be insulting not to. GLA LTh's
Castle calls lth's 'idiots and delusional'. I wonder who is really more of a schmuck, the person who invests what he/she can afford to lose in a company long term because they believe in the eventual success of that company, or, someone who is not invested, hates the company, thinks all lth's are deluded idiots, and yet reads and posts relentlessly on the company's lse notice board.
nobby...i know for 99% certain the only reason you and the other intelligent knowledgable non invested folk are here is because you, castle rosie, et al all smell the money and you're waiting for the right moment to invest. It's as clear as transpicuous as they come and a ringing endorsement of this company.
nobb...struggling a bit to see your point there? can you help me out...are you, being an anonymous, non invested, always negative, disavowing poster, advising me that I should sell all my shares at a huge loss before Friday?
nobby..it's a start up...a new idea...it's high risk...you put money in that you can afford to lose...if it doesn't work, it doesn't work...if it does work, everyone invested gets rich....don't put money in unless you can afford to say goodbye to it..I'm sure a bright guy like you can understand that .
Peak...you see the tactics the detractors use...they are multiple and varied...they detract from the centre to the peripheral in order to take honest debate down a blind alley in which they mug you with petty points. It was good and positive to hear from AZ. He and his team are doing a great job. GLA lth
RuleofThirds 'Each warrant gives you the right to buy a further share in the company. To convert a warrant into a share you’ll need to pay the exercise price, which is 0.065p per share. You’ll have the opportunity to do this up until 31 December 2025, at which point they’ll expire. The warrants are not listed on the stock market so cannot be traded'. HL
Wiser..."Your new shares will be added to your account on or around 22 August 2022, after which we will prepare communications detailing the results of the action and any information regarding scaling back, which you can expect in the couple of weeks following the completion of the action". HL.
