"Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of people as far as I'm concerned"
They are not nasty people, they are just foolish. And unfortunately its the sort of foolish who thinks they know better than others. I hate people losing money personally.
Did you notice the volume traded? 211 million its showing on Tradingview.
A lot of shares will be doing the same in the coming months. You can't take thousands of pounds off people for energy and then expect non essential business in the leisure sector to survive. Something that people also don't seem to realise, is that businesses use energy too. Broke customers and huge bills is a double whammy for them.
If you have shares in that sector, I would seriously consider selling.
@christopheles They are wedded to the stock. For them it became personal a long time ago and any logical argument or reasoning would not make them sell.
Ouch! Well you can't say I didn't try to warn you again and again.
"You were just trying to have us buy stocks horoscopes. Well thank you for the offer."
What? Charts are horoscopes? So are support and resistance levels make believe? What about volume confirming a big move? You know what they say about a fool and his money are soon parted? Now you know why. I'm off, good luck.
@Reppyrr Because they don't know what they are doing, and are terrified of selling and locking that loss in and then the share going up.
Tradingview guys, get it learn it. Then get yourself on You Tube and start learning about all the different indicators you can add to Tradingview and what they mean.
The trouble is you (and again I mean the group) get wedded to a share. Where is your stop loss? Where is the point where you say I was wrong and take your money back? This is a very basic thing. Capital preservation should be your top goal at the moment. We are going into a recession, inflation is at highs not seen for decades, and you are holding a leisure share offering a service that people can easily do without during hard times. I think less time posting on here, and more time learning the basics would do you a lot of good.
"I got a 7k loss" So sorry to hear that, I really hate people losing money.
My view at the moment is that if the world goes back to "normal" then yes, its definitely a recovery play. But if the world goes back to covid masks, lockdowns and the other insanity, then it will go bust. The initial signs I am seeing at the moment with the NHS going back to mandating masks this week, is that the latter is looking more likely. So I would recommend extreme caution here until we get more signs of what happens next.
I am a hero. I came along and I tried to save you, time and time again. The evidence is there in my post history, read it and weep.
Lets contrast a bit eh? You in June 2021 "On a side note... the cinema experience is irreplaceable."
"the current share price will be the bargain of the century."
"This share, like most in the leisure sector are ones for a long term hold at the moment."
"For the long term investors, don't get spooked by the traders or the miserable share price.. at the moment."
I mean look at these, you are insane. You were talking people into holding, how many thousands of pounds have you cost people if they listened to you?
There is no deramp gang, you are delusional. Look through my posts where I have been saying since last year that I sold this @ 87p. Was I right, or was I wrong to sell?
But here we are again, you know better than me, even though its gone down, what , 80% since then? You're a joke lol Oh well
@Crumpets Show me on your bank statement where it hurt you. LMAO!!!
"No LTH will sell now regardless of these idiots in green boxes."
You wouldn't sell because you are foolish, and you don't listen. I don't mean you personally, I mean the group as a whole. And your investment strategy has as much intelligence as "A big film is coming out this month".
This whole "deramper" business is ridiculous too. People honestly think there are enough people reading this board that it could make any difference to the share price? If so, how come all your wishful thinking posts doesn't make it go up? I originally came on here in the hope of sharing investment ideas, but then I realised most of you have as much logical thought as someone betting on the horses. And about as much success.
So sorry to see this guys. I didn't own this one, but did have it in my bargain watchlist in case there might have been a potential for a turn around if the war ended etc.
Yet another disaster thanks to our meddling incompetent government.
"Still some huge films to come this calendar year." I can't believe people are still saying this same silly thing. We heard it about Bond, then Batman, Top Gun. Individual films are irrelevant. Top Gun has taken over $1 billion in the box office, only weeks ago and the share is dropping. Perhaps Avatar will be the magic film that turns things around? Its ridiculous.
@LTHcine and that is exactly why I sold all UK shares except oil months ago. No business can make money with such a government in place.
@LTHcine It was over for me in June 2020 when it was obvious it was not serious. But if its over, why are the government looking to spend 2 billion on tests to 2024?
And since I know you guys are a disbelieving lot, here is the link:

"In comparison it didn’t go this low when it was shut."
Back then we thought it would be 6 months, maybe a year disruption the back to life as normal. But here we are over 2 years later and its clear things are not going back to normal. In fact it seems they are only months away from starting the covid circus once again. What really convinced me was when someone found a contract on the governments bidding site to supply lateral flow tests to the tune of 2 billion until 2024!!
"This will bounce back and not time to sell, but time to buy for sure..."
Personally I will hang fire for the moment. See what happens next with covid hysteria. If it looks like there will be another lockdown then its game over for this any many other shares.
Personally I sold everything months ago, other than oil stocks. I think I sold this one for 80p, I dont really remember tbh.
